Alcatel A3 XL is Big and Runs on Android Nougat 7.0
Alcatel A3 XL is Big and Runs on Android Nougat 7.0 – TCL, the smartphone maker for Alcatel brand, has launched a new smartphone called Alcatel A3 XL. TCL has recently launched the Alcatel Idol 4S and will also make all future smartphones for BlackBerry.
They’ve also received a lot of praises for their design, which has a fresh take, not an iPhone or Samsung copy. They look original.
During CES, TCL showcased an entry level, large display smartphone named Alcatel A3 XL. It doesn’t vouch for great benchmark scores or extraordinary performance, but do the job. It’s clearly targeted to the entry level segment and offers decent specifications.
The phone comes with a huge 6 inch Display with (2180*720)HD resolution. Hence the name A3 XL. Although 1080p would’ve been a great option in 2017, specially for a 6 inch device.
It runs on current generation MediaTek 8735B processor coupled with mere 1 GB of ram. Storage wise it packs in only 8 GB of internal storage. Egregiously, the skin on top and pre-loaded apps take away almost 53% of the storage and it offer only 3.8GB for the end user. Seemingly, the storage is expandable upto 32 GB with the help of micro SD cards.
Although the UI is somewhat near stock and runs on Android N 7.0 out of the box. Which is a good thing and gives a sense of confidence to the users, when it comes to future software updates.
It features an 8 MP rear camera which can record upto 1080P videos. The front side has a 5 MP selfie shooter.
Surprisingly, it offers an important feature which became industry standard in 2016 – the fingerprint sensor. It’s located at the back, right below the camera module.
The smartphone is powered by 3000 mAH battery. Though we would have like more capacity in a 6 inch mobile.
It’ll be available in Black and White color options. Though the pricing and availability of the phone is still not disclosed.
