LG V20 With Android Nougat 7.0 Launch on 6 Sept

LG V20 With Android Nougat 7.0 Launch on 6 Sept – LG have had a rough year, with high expectations of entering a new world of modularity with the LG G5, and it was dreamed to be a big hit for the company. Although the fate of G5 was not in favor with the company. Even though G5 is liked by some people across the globe but G5 has not brought the same laurels and sales volume as the S7/S7 Edge has done for Samsung.

New LG V20 leaked rendered images surfaced online today and showcased the smartphone in full glory. Though these are renders but we can expect the final build to be close to these. The LG V20 comes with a metallic body with the Dual display. The back side features a large camera module which is bumped up from the surface and carry 2 camera lenses.

There is also a line which clearly shows that the smartphone will be modular like the LG G5 and there will be mods available for the V20 that can be used with the smartphone to improve battery capacity.

The fingerprint scanner is positioned below the Dual camera module and at the bottom it seems to have a USB Type C port and a 3.5 mm jack.  At least LG is not planning to make the 3.5 mm headphones redundant.

LG has recently launched the LG X Screen smartphone in India which also comes with dual display.

One major reason was Samsung brought the phones earlier to the market and captured a large share. Now LG is looking for some vengeance. LG’s very own beast LG V10’s successor aka LG V20, might be the only saving grace for the company this year and might lead to be their only High-end Flagship in addition to the Lg G5.

The V10 was a success due to the rugged looks and materials used, along with the beastly specs it garnered a lot of applauds last year. The V20 is all set to release in September, as the company have sent press invitations.

The V20 is rumored to run on Qualcomm’s latest and best Snapdragon 820 chipset along with Adreno 530 GPU (It can also get a upcoming Snapdragon 821 processor). The V20 will be the first non-nexus device to run Android N 7.0 Nougat. There’s no mention about the RAM, but judging by the previous model the V20 might sport 4GB/6GB RAM. The phone will improve on the optical department as well as the battery department but sadly it might take a step back in the display department for the V20 compared to V10.

The phone will sport a smaller 5.5 inch Full HD Dual display compared to V10’s 5.7 inch Quad HD dual display. Notably the highlight of the V10 was a dual display where you have a smaller display on top of the main display screen. Similar implementation is expected on the LG V20.

The highlight of the smartphone will be Android Nougat 7.0 and will be the first device to run the OS beyond the Nexus devices.

This might be an absurd choice from LG as Samsung is keeping the Quad HD resolution for all flagship smartphones including the new Samsung Note 7.

The LG V20 will get a bump in the camera section with 20 MP rear camera and an 8 Mp front camera. Although there was no mention in the reported leaks about the dual front cameras. If it does, then the dual 8 MP front camera will directly compete to the Oppo’s Selfie Expert phones.

The phone will provide 32/64 Gb storage variant with expansion option of 256 GB through micro SD cards. Powering the phone will be the massive 4000mAh battery pack.

Smartphone is likely to launch in September 2016, as date draws closer, more number of leaks will raise the curtain slowly and steadily.

Clearly the phone will directly face competition from Samsung’s Note 7 and mainly from the new iterations of Apple with iPhone 7 Plus, and 7 Pro.  LG is also reportedly working on the LG G6 for which leaks got out some time back.
