Samsung C7 Pro Powered by SD 626 and 4 GB RAM Unveiled
Samsung has recently unveiled the new Samsung C7 Pro smartphone. The Samsung C7 Pro has a metal uni-body design and comes with a 2.5 D curved glass covering the display. There is also Samsung signature front home button embedded with a fingerprint sensor. The phone is quite thin and measures – 156.5 x 77.2 x 7 mm, and the C7 PRO weighs 172 grams.
The design language has not been changed radically from its predecessors.
The antenna lines have been changed from thick to a new “six string antenna lines” found on OPPO R9s and Samsung’s own Samsung C9 Pro.
The C series from Samsung is the only set of smartphones which come with metallic build while the S and A series have glass and metal construction.
The C7 Pro features a 5.7 inch Full HD (1920*1080) Super AMOLED display. Samsung have had the best displays in the market and the C7 Pro is no different. It comes with a vivid display panel with excellent contrast and brightness found on most AMOLED screens.
It is powered by a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 chip-set along with Adreno 506 GPU. The Processor is clocked at 2.2 GHz and comes with 8 cores. The chip-set is the successor to the power efficient SD 625 found in most of the mid-range phones.
Samsung also claims that the smartphone will run more cooler compared to the other devices, as it comes with new heat pipe design and uses liquid cooling.
The processor is coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The C7 Pro doesn’t feature a dedicated SD card slot, though storage can be expanded upto 256 GB using the second hybrid sim slot.
Samsung has also integrated a new U Play sound technology to improve the sound quality of music stored offline as well as online.
Selfies are an important feature now days, this has forced the OEMs to focus more on the front snappers.
Samsung have also joined the party and have used 16 Mega pixel, f/1.9 aperture camera both at the front and rear.
The smartphone is powered by a large 3300 mAH battery which is sufficient for all day working considering the FHD display and the ultra power efficient Snapdragon 626 processor.
The phone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Touch-Wiz skin on top. We expect Samsung to push the Android Nougat on it soon. Notably, Android Nougat is present on just 0.7% of Android smartphones as of Jan 2017, as per data released by Google. Appalling adaption rates.
The C7 Pro will be available in Arctic Blue, Maple Leaf Gold and Rose Gold color options. The smartphone comes with the USB Type C port and has a screen to body ratio of 74%.
It’s already up for pre-order in China but the availability in other countries and pricing are yet to be disclosed. Rumors are it might be close to $400 (approx ₹28,000).
Samsung has launched the Samsung C9 Pro in the Indian market, their first 6 GB RAM smartphone for Rs. 36,990.
