Snapdragon 835 Powered Nokia P – IS A Big Deal

Snapdragon 835 Powered Nokia P – IS A Big Deal : Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and the upcoming Nokia P (flagship smartphone) both are a big deal, in the world of smartphones. As we approach the opening laps of 2017, these are big announcements to look forward. Nokia has already launched the Nokia 6 – the first smartphone made by HMD Global.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835

Qualcomm makes cutting edge mobile processors, and latest Snapdragon 821 along with the Adreno 530 is the best processor and GPU combination available today. Qualcomm is promising something faster and better – SD 835.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 was announced in November 2016, and it is the first Qualcomm mobile processor to come with 10 Nm manufacturing process. The processor was showcased at the CES 2017. It is really tiny.

So exactly how small is 10nm ? It’s the size of a few dozen water molecules, or 1,000 times smaller than a strand of hair*. ` Source Qualcomm

Snapdragon 835

Qualcomm has partnered with Samsung which has the 10 Nm technology to create the new Snapdragon 835 chipset. While there are rumors that there will be a Snapdragon 830 Soc too, but the press release by Qualcomm don’t talk about it yet.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 can be 27% more powerful compared to the existing flagship processor and can be upto 40% more power efficient due to the smaller dye size as per the report.

In nutshell we can say it is going to be a significant upgrade and will give plenty of reason to Flagship buyers to upgrade from a Snapdragon 810 or even a SD 820 smartphone to the upcoming SD 835 smartphones in 2017.

There could be many smartphones like the Samsung S8 which could be one of the first to use the cutting edge Snapdragon 835. As Samsung is also a development partner, they would leverage the processor by releasing early on a Samsung device.

Coming to the second big deal – The Nokia P

The wild east reports that HMD Global is going to launch a top of the line Nokia smartphone at the MWC in Feb 2017. The new date which is coming from sources in China for the unveiling of the second smartphone is 26th February 2017. This can be the second smartphone in the Nokia series as the Nokia 6 was launched by HMD global, for USD 250, last week.

Next Nokia smartphone to launch on 26th February 2017, HMD hints that the smartphone can feature the coveted Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor in a statement given on 11/Jan/2017 and more updates will be shared on this soon. It could happen on 26th February, a day ahead of the MWC 2017.

As per the rumors HMD is going to launch some more Nokia smartphones at the event. The wild east habitats are posting some interesting images on Weibo which hints at the mighty Nokia P.

The Nokia P comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 25% boost in performance over predecessors.

There is 6 GB Of Ram and the smartphone will have 128 GB of storage. Nokia was known for the Carl Zeiss optics and the Nokia P will also come with a mind blowing 23 Mega pixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss Lens.

The smartphone will have 5.5 Inch Display and come with Quad HD (2560*1440) Resolution with Super AMOLED Display panel. The smartphone is alleged to run on the Android Nougat 7.0.

While all this is very optimistic view and Nokia fans are elated world wide that the company is going to bounce back and will have some standing. Initially it is going to be a bit of uphill battle considering the competition. But we never know – Nokia has die hard fans, who can make it a quick success again.

With the current scheme of things we may see Samsung, LG, HTC, LeEco and Xiaomi using the Snapdragon 835 early on in the next year, and come with new Flagship devices.
