Xiaomi has launched a new power bank in the Chinese market named as the ” Mi Power Bank 2 ” and it comes with enormous 20000 mAH capacity.
Like the older Mi Power bank, this also comes with a massive 20,000 mAH capacity which is sufficient to charge most smartphones 4 to 5 times. Once you have fully charged the power bank, it can last really long. The major upgrade that the new Xiaomi 20000 mAH power bank has is, support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
The previous power bank from Xiaomi came with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support which is available in India for Rs. 1899 and there is also a Xiaomi 10,000 mAH QC 2.0 power bank available in India for Rs. 899.
The new power bank comes with 2 way fast charging support. The power bank itself can get rapidly charged, and it can also charge the smartphone connected simultaneously.
The output on the previous power-bank was limited to 5.1V/3.6A over its two USB ports combined which will remain the same with the new Power bank too. But when you connect only 1 smartphone which has Quick charge 3.0 support than that can utilize the QC 3.0 charging feature for rapid charging.
As per Xiaomi the new power bank can charge the Xiaomi Max with (4,850 mAh battery) in about 2 hours and 30 minutes which is quite impressive. It is compatible with most smartphones and tablets and can fast charge them.
The smartphone need to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor and must have support for Quick Charge 3.0. Some of the processors which have Quick Charge 3.0 support – Snapdragon 820, 620, 625, 618, 617, and 430 . The smartphone manufacturer should also have enabled the support for Quick Charge 3.0, for this feature to work.
The Mi Power Bank 2 comes with 135.5 x 67.6 x 23.9 dimensions compared to the previous power bank 141.9 x 73 x 21.8. The new power bank is 2 mm thicker though has lesser width and height. The new power bank comes in White color with dotted design and is priced at 149 Yuan in China or Rs. 1550($23).
