Acer Nitro 5 Good Budget Gaming Laptop Priced $700

Acer may not have a huge smartphone product portfolio, but the company has been a frontrunner in the laptop segment,  especially in the gaming laptop segment.

The company has Aspire series to cater the premium segment and has various laptop ranges for hardcore gamers. The company has Acer Predator series to impress the gamers with top-notch hardware. And it also has the Nitro series aimed at people who can’t opt for the Predator series.

So, the biggest weakness in the gaming laptop segment is that there are not many budget laptops to choose from. But Acer is looking to solve the issue with the all new Acer Nitro 5.

The Acer Nitro 5 doesn’t cost much and is placed in the budget gaming laptop category. Having said that, the laptop does not either offer top of the line hardware, but sufficient to play all the games with ease.

The Nitro 5 comes in a bevvy of configurations to choose from. Asus is offering the product with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics card along with the Intel Core i5 and i7 chips and another variant comes with AMD FX graphics, A10 and A12 CPUs and Radeon RX550 GPU.

Both the models offer RAM expansion up to 32 GB. Furthermore, users can install the PCI-E Solid State Drives to further boost the performance.

The Acer Nitro 5 features a 15.6-inch Full HD (1080p) screen along with two USB-C ports- one of USB 3.1 and the other one of USB 3.0. The laptop also has two standard USB ports for regular users.

Acer has also added an HDMI 2.0 port, Wi-Fi 802.11 AC Wireless chip, and also a Gigabit Ethernet supported port.

The Acer Nitro 5 looks just like another Acer gaming laptops available in the market right now. The keyboard comes with bright lights and the display has sharp lines. There are four Air Vents in the laptop to stay it cool all the time

Furthermore, Acer has updated the entry-level Acer Spin 1 convertible notebook with better hardware in and out. The Spin 1 now comes with a sleeker metal casing and includes latest Intel Celeron and Pentium processors, under-the-hood.

It has 4 GB of RAM and 128GB of eMMC storage. There’s a small 11.6-inch 1080p Touchscreen up front. Acer also promises eight hours of battery life with the Spin 1.

Lastly, the Nitro 5 ships for $700 starting in July in North America, while the Acer Spin 1 will retail for $329 in July itself. The price in India for the Nitro 5 is yet not shared by Acer but if it is below Rs. 55000 for a Core i5 and a GTX 1050 model it is going to get a good response from Indian gamers.

Acer Nitro 5 laptops India Launch and Price Update

Acer has launched 2 models for the Acer Nitro 5 in the Indian market one comes with a Intel Core i7 and GTX 1050 – Price Rs. 89,990.

The Second model for Acer Nitro 5 that is launched in the Indian market comes with the Intel Core i5 Processor and GTX 1050 Ti – Price Rs.  74,900.

  1. The title of the article is misleading!
    The Acer Nitro 5 will never be priced near 55K. Rather it will at least be priced 20-30K more than its US price. A somehwat, similar laptop with these configurations is the new Lenovo Legion Y520 which is priced at 90K.
    Please change the title.
