Lava IRIS X1 Atom To Get Android Lollipop
The Lava IRIS X1 Atom is a dual Sim and was launched on 16- April-2015 in India.
Out of the box, it comes with Android KitKat, though Lava has promised that it will get the Android Lollipop update soon. The company, however, declined on an exact date when the rollout will happen, but ensured that they will update the smartphone by an OTA (over-the-air) OS update soon.
For starters, it has a 4.0-inch touchscreen, with WVGA, 800*480 pixels resolution with 233 PPI.
Also, it comes with a 5 Megapixel Purcell rear camera with LED flash. The Purcell sensor was also clubbed with some of the earlier more expensive devices from LAVA like the XOLO Q900S.
Besides, it has a basic 0.3 Megapixel VGA camera. Additionally, it offers 2G/3G connectivity and support for Bluetooth 2.1, WIFI, USB 2.0.
Notably, the Lava phone runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. However, the company has not disclosed which processor they are using in the device.
Egregiously, it has 512 MB Ram which is less in comparison to 1 GB Ram, you can get with the Android One mobiles like Spice Dream UNO.
The internal storage is 4 GB expandable up to 32 GB using a micro-sd card. There are some other features like smart swipe, one-touch shot & double tap to wake up which you may like in the new Iris X1 Atom.
Fueling the device is a 1750 mAh battery which is okay considering it has a 4.0-inch screen, so we can expect it run till evening without charging.
