What’s the next most happening thing other than the New Year celebrations??? It’s the CES!! Tech biggies are marching at it with their best trying to keep an edge over the rest!! Who stands out is a question best answered by gizmo-freaks like us & you. Well, not being too hasty to move towards the judgement day, let’s sit back & relish the new flavors of the tech- world.
We, here at Candytech, try & bring to you the latest updates at the CES. Speaking of updates, ASUS has come forth with the Chromebook Flip C302 at the CES. Keeping up with the latest standards, the USB-C is going to replace USB 3.0 port in the Flip C302. Ergonomically highlighting, it comes with a 360 degree hinge that allows you to “Flip” over to a tablet as per your needs & comfort.
The leaks about the specifications of the Chromebook that started making whispers earlier last week left a major part of the crowd sceptic about the reliability of the source. However, the leaks keep up to their reputation & the specs are quite as mentioned.
Now, let’s talk work!! The Chromebook is equipped with a 6th Gen Intel Core M 6Y30 processor, or the Intel Core M 6Y75 processor and a storage capacity of 128 GB. The 4 GB RAM it comes with is upgradable to 8 GB. The convertible laptop comes with a display of 12.5 inches and 1080p. Of the additional specs are included 2 USB-C ports, a micro-SD card reader & 3.5 mm jack for earphones.
What all Chromebooks have in common ? Google Chrome OS. The C302 also runs on the Google’s less resource intensive OS.
The Chromebook is feather light and weighs 1.2 Kg and it is incredibly thin too with 12.3 mm thickness. The Asus Chromebook Flip C302 comes with better stereo sound output, all thanks to the new extra-large resonant chambers which can offer upto 87 dB of sound output.
Now comes the most important thing. Yes, the Price!! As of today the Chromebook Flip C302 is priced at $ 499. The price is not as affordable as you may have expected, but definitely is not overpriced by Asus.
However, if you pride yourself in being the owner of a convertible laptop cum tablet that is nowhere getting obsolete in the long run, this might sound like a good buy for you.
A small alert for those might be wondering what the USB-C all about is. Well, going by the buzz we believe the USB slot can also be used to charge the device. Something similar to what we have in our smartphones may be.
