Asus Transformer 3 Pro And ZenBook 3 (Intel 7th Gen Notebook) Launched

Asus launches the latest Zenbook 3 and Transformer 3 Pro in India for Rs. 1, 47,990 and Rs. 1, 44,990 respectively and these are powered by the Intel Kaby Lake (Zenbook 3 – 7th Gen Processor) and Intel Skylake (Transformer 3 Pro – 6th Gen Processor).

Along with the Asus Zenfone 3 series of smartphones, the Taiwanese company also unveiled the Asus Zenbook 3 along with the Asus Transformer 3 Pro. Both the laptops ship with Windows 10 pre-installed and latest Intel processors.

The Asus Zenbook 3 is the company’s take down at the Apple Macbook and Microsoft’s Surface whereas the Transformer 3 Pro is the 2-in-in convertible hybrid laptop which looks premium and has the top-notch hardware.


Asus Transformer 3 Pro Specifications, Availability, and Price

When coming to the Asus Transformer 3 Pro (T303 UA) , it is a 2-in-1 convertible aimed at Microsoft Surface Pro 4. This hybrid laptop has a thickness of 8.35mm, which is thinner than its rival. It features a 12.6-inch display with a fantastic resolution of 2880*1920. Under-the-hood is an Intel Core i7-6500U chip, which is a smaller one when compared to Zenbook 3.


This convertible comes with 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage. It is sad to see that Asus has embedded the LPDDR3 RAM as the LPDDR4 RAM is already available in the market. Also, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera along with 2-megapixel IR camera upfront (it can be used as a tablet too). The transformer 3 comes bundled with a detachable keyboard and stylus pen.

Connectivity wise, the Transformer 3 Pro comes with a single USB 3.0 port, a thunderbolt port, and an HDMI port. Asus is also selling some other accessories such as a keyboard dock, a universal dock for extension of ports.

The Asus Transformer 3 Pro comes only in Gold colored variant in India and will be available to market from October 2016.

Asus Zenbook 3 Specifications, Availability, and Price

The Asus Zenbook 3 was first launched at Computex 2016 back in April. However, it took the company three months to launch the products in India. As said earlier, the Asus Zenbook 3 is aimed at MacBook and the company claims that the Zenbook 3 is slimmer than the MacBook Air and also it is faster than its rival.

Coming back to the specifications, the Zenbook 3 model in India features a 12.5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920*1080. The laptop is powered by the Intel Core i7-7500U (Kaby Lake) processor along with support for 16 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The storage on this laptop will be 512 GB SSD (Solid State Drive) and an Intel HD graphics card is present to support the graphic intensive tasks.

A 6-cell 40 WHr battery will be fueling the laptop and Asus claims that the Zenbook 3 will last up to 9 hours on a single charge. Asus is trying to deliver a best audio experience with the Zenbook 3 as it comes with Harmon Kardon speakers. The laptop also has a fingerprint sensor and can respond to voice command actions with the ‘Windows Hello’ feature in Windows 10.

The Asus Zenbook 3 will be available in three color variants Rose Gold, Quartz Gray, and Royal Blue. The Zenbook 3 will be available from all online and offline stores starting in October. There are many new premium laptops getting launched in the Indian market like recent launch of HP Spectre and LG GRAM.
