Initial Thoughts: Asus Zenfone 3 Series

Asus has improved a lot of things in the new Zenfone 3 series for all the smartphones. A more evolved glass and metal design and finished with most advanced Snapdragon 625, 652 and even the latest Gen Snapdragon 821 Processor.

Usually, Samsung grabs the latest processor from Qualcomm and feature it in their devices ahead of the pack, but not this time. I was secretly thinking of Samsung Note 7 coming with Snapdragon 821 and 6 GB RAM, but Asus has beaten them in the Specs race.

But one real sore point which 100s of Asus Fans are upset about on Twitter and Facebook is the new Zenfone Series 3 pricing. Are they overpriced in comparison to the competition or previous Zenfone series?

I think yes the pricing is on a higher side, though Zenfone 3 series come with the better build quality, camera, and hardware, Asus has long focused on affordability in India. The sudden change from a known price brand to premium probably is not an easy task.

If Samsung or Apple launch similar smartphones at this price, it will be easy to comprehend, but for Asus fans, they want it cheaper and better at the same time.
