The Asus Zenfone 3s Max is available for Rs 14999. Let’s talk more about the specs and features for the new Asus mobile.

Hardware and Features for Asus Zenfone 3s Max

For starters, the phone comes with an exquisite build quality, full metal body finish that looks premium for the price.

The fingerprint scanner is on the front, embedded in the home button. Unlike the previous offering, the Zenfone 3 Max, that comes with a rear fingerprint scanner.

Moreover, the fingerprint sensor can store upto 5 fingerprints and it can unlock the phone in just 0.5 seconds. It is not one of the fastest scanners in the market.

The highlight feature of the phone is the 5000 mAh battery. The company claims to provide “upto 34 days of 4G standby time, 28 hours talk-time on 3G and 25 hours of web browsing over WiFi on a single charge”.

Although, practically speaking it can work for 1.5 to 2 days. Tragically, there is no fast charging support.

Furthermore, it comes with a 720p display with a 5.2-inch screen. The phone will provide better battery back up due to lower resolution but an FHD display is desired in this price range.

In comparison to the Asus Zenfone 3 Max it has 900 mAH more battery capacity. Moreover, the phone is 8.8 mm thick which isn’t bad considering the huge battery size.

Another interesting feature of the phone is that it supports reverse charging, so the phone can be used as a power bank.

Camera and Performance

For imaging, we have a 13 MP rear camera with dual led flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The chipset powering Zenfone 3s Max is the octa-core 1.5 GHz Mediatek 6750 processor along with 3GB of RAM and Mali T860 GPU.

Additionally, it comes with 32 GB of internal storage expandable upto 2 TB via microSD card. Besides, the phone has dual sim 4G LTE,  ideal for all those enjoying the free perks by the Reliance Jio.

What’s more, it runs on Android Nougat 7.0  based Zen UI 3.0 which is a good update since most of the phones are still running on the older Android Marshmallow 6.0.

Lastly, it is available in Black and Gold color options.

Also, the 3s Max competes with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Huawei Honor 6X Moto G4 Plus and Lenovo K6 power in the similar price range.
