Asus the Taiwan based smartphone manufacturer has launched a new smartphone with 5000 mAH battery capacity. The new mobile is called as the Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3S.
The smartphone comes with 5000 mAH Battery capacity and there is also support for reversible charging. The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3S was earlier thought to be Asus Zenfone Max 4, and it was anticipated that the smartphone will be launched at CES 2017.
But Asus has launched the device today in China, and will go on sale in couple of days.
Like the Asus Zenfone 3 Max it also comes with the metallic body, the smartphone is not too bulky and has a thickness of 8.9 mm. The smartphone comes with 5.2 Inch display and has HD (720P) resolution. There is also 2.5D curve glass covering the display, for enhanced touch experience.
The smartphone is powered by the Mediatek 6750 (Helio P 10) processor clocked at 1.4 GHz.
There is 3 GB RAM or 4 GB Ram based on the variant. The internal storage on the device is 32 GB or 64 GB in line to RAM. The internal storage can be expanded to 2 TB with the micro-sd card.
Apart from having an enormous battery, it is one the first Asus smartphones to come with the latest Google OS – Android Nougat 7.0.
The smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the oblong shaped home button, at the front. This is also a change when we compared to the Zenfone 3 series or the Zenfone 3 Max. The Fingerprint scanner was on the back and was a bit weirdly shaped, in those phones.
The Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3S comes with an improved 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor and F/2.0 aperture. There is 1080P video recording support along with PDAF and ability to shoot in Pro mode.
The smartphone also comes with a better front camera in comparison to the Asus Zenfone 3 Max. The Front selfie camera has a 8 Mega Pixel lens for clicking detailed selfies.
The Asus Mobile comes with 4G LTE support and it also has VOLTE, along with the native connectivity options like 3G/2G/WIFI. The smartphone is launched in China for a price of CNY 1999 or in Indian currency will cost Rs 20,200. Though it is difficult to say if it will be launched in the Indian market.
Asus is currently selling the Zenfone 3 Max in India, which comes with 4100 mAH battery capacity, falls short of expectations built by original Zenfone Max (5000 mAH). Let’s wait and see if Asus launches the Asus Pegasus 3S in Indian market.
