Asus has launched the new ZenPad 3S 10 tablet and will go on sale in the home market of Taiwan in the first week of August.
The New Asus Zenpad 3S 10 comes with a 9.7-inch display (similar size of iPad) 2048 x 1536 resolution (4:3 aspect ratio).
The tablet comes with a very neat and clean design with Asus printed at the back of the premium metal casing.
The 3.5 mm jack on the top and an oblong shaped Home button at the front with the fingerprint scanner integrated into it.
The camera is at the back top right corner and does not seem to be a very large size lens.
The new tablet comes with aluminum alloy all metal build and looks premium, it priced at $340 or Rs. 22,000. Powering the tablet is the latest chipset from MediaTek, the MT8176 processor (with two ARM Cortex-A72 cores, four ARM Cortex-A53 cores) with 2.0 GHz clock speed.
For gaming and graphics intensive tasks there is PowerVR GX6250 GPU with 600 MHz clock speed. The tablet comes with 4 GB of Ram which is sufficient for multi-tasking and gaming.
One of the thinnest Tablet with just 7.15 mm thickness.
The tablet comes with a decent battery capacity of 5900 mAH and runs on the latest Android Marshmallow OS 6.0 along with the Zen UI. There is also Quick Charging support for the large battery.
The Asus Zenpad 3S 10 comes with WIFI as well as Bluetooth connectivity, as per the recent report the tablet doesn’t come with 4G LTE connectivity. Asus may launch a 4G LTE variant of the Asus Zenpad 3S 10 also in some of the markets.
The tablet has 32 GB of internal storage expandable up to 128 GB using the micro-sd card slot.
The tablet comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the front home button and also has the modern USB Type C port for connectivity.
The Audio experience is enhanced by the DTS Audio with support for 24-bit/192 kHz output through the headset jack. It also comes with the Asus Sonic Master sound technology to make the music experience much better.
Moreover, the Asus Zenpad 3S 10 comes with an 8 Megapixel rear camera and there is a 5 Megapixel front camera to click selfies and do video chat on Skype.
Lastly, it comes with a weight of 430 grams and measures 240.5 x 163.7 x 7.15 mm.
If priced right the tablet can do good in the Indian market and if 4G LTE sim support is added to it, can be a cool thing to use with the discounted data tariffs – courtesy RJIO.
