Update – January 2019 – Let’s talk about some of the fast mid-range laptops in the price range of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 80000 in India that comes with SSD and Windows 10.

Chinese smartphone and laptop brand, Lenovo has launched a few laptops under its much traditional Yoga and Ideapad line-ups. The company has claimed that the all-new Yoga laptops are ready for the future with features USB Type-C ports, advanced processors, etc.

Lenovo has launched a total of six laptops in the country, out of which, two cater to the Yoga series, while the other four are under the Ideapad series.

Lenovo has unveiled the Lenovo Yoga 720, Yoga 520, Ideapad 520S, Ideapad 320S, Ideapad 520, and Ideapad 320. Take a look at the specifications of the laptops launched by Lenovo recently.

Lenovo Yoga 920

Lenovo has launched the latest version of its most premium Yoga laptop – the Yoga 920, the successor to the Lenovo Yoga 910. Both the new laptops were unveiled at the ongoing Tech extravaganza IFA 2017.

The new Yoga 920 looks more or less the same as the Yoga 910 and comes with a sleek design and weighs just 1.3 Kg.

The new Lenovo ultrabook is powered by the latest Intel Core i7 8th generation (KabyLake Refresh) processor and comes with upto 16 GB of DDR4 Ram.

Additionally, the storage on the Yoga 920 is 1 TB, but it is a Solid State Drive to ensure super fast performance. The 1 TB drive is an upgrade from the 512 GB SSD in the previous models.

The Lenovo Yoga 920 comes with a stunning 14 inch 4K UHD (3840*2160) pixels touchscreen display, which can make your reading and multimedia experience way better.

The laptop still comes with the iconic watch hinges which are signature to the premium Yoga series. You can easily rotate the laptop display at 360 degrees with these hinges to work as a tablet.

The Laptop comes with a fingerprint scanner to quickly unlock it without a need for filling passwords. The Yoga 920 misses on the facial recognition to unlock the device using the front camera, a Windows Hello feature.

The Lenovo Yoga 920 is priced at $1330 and would likely cost around Rs. 1,110,000 in the Indian market when launched.

Asus has launched the new Asus VivoBook S15 ultrabook in the Indian market, for a price tag of Rs. 59,990. The laptop will be available online as well as offline from Oct 1.

The Asus VivoBook S15 comes with a 15.6 Inch Bezel Less nano edge display. Asus claims that the bezel-less display has minimal bezels, offering over 80% screen to body ratio.

The laptop has a Full HD resolution (1920*1080) pixels screen with just 7.8 mm thick bezels. The Asus VivoBook S15 is very lightweight and portable for a 15.6-inch machine – weighs 1.7 Kg and has a thickness of 17.9 mm.

The Key Highlight for Asus VivoBook S15 – 8th Gen Intel Processor, Bezel-less Display, and Fingerprint Scanner.

The laptop is powered by the Intel Core i7 8550 U processor from Intel. It is an 8th Gen processor (Kaby Lake Refresh) and comes with a base clock speed of 2.1 GHz.

Though the Rs 59,990 price model comes with an Intel Core i5 -8250U (8th Gen) Intel processor. The device will be available in different storage options with either the Core i5 or Core i7 processor.

Additionally, the Asus VivoBook S15  comes with SSD storage + HDD and is paired with 16 GB DDR4 RAM. There is also a dedicated Nvidia GTX 150 graphics card for those looking to do something beyond running chrome or MS office.

The Asus VivoBook S15 has 1 TB of hard drive and also has a 128 GB SSD. The ultrabook has USB Type C port, USB 3.1 port, and HDMI port.

Moreover, the VivoBook S15 comes with fast charging support – it can charge up to 60% in just 49 minutes. The laptop also has Windows Hello support and comes with a fingerprint scanner.

There is also a backlit keyboard with ergonomic keys to make the typing experience better on this machine. Also, Asus has launched the new ZenBook UX 430 along with the VivoBook S15 in the Indian market.

To recall, at the IFA 2017, Acer launched some new cool laptops which come with the latest Intel processors and offers better performance.

The new gadgets launched at IFA include Swift 5, Switch 7, Spin 5, LTE-connected 360-degree camera and Predator Orion 9000 series gaming desktops.  All the new laptops come with premium metallic design and are powered by the latest Intel 8th Generation Kaby lake Refresh processors.

Notably, the Acer Swift has gone on sale in the Indian market for Rs. 79,999 and will be available for purchase from the Acer exclusive stores and other top electronic retailers.

It is the latest laptop from Acer which comes with a very lightweight form factor. It weighs just 970 grams.

The laptop comes with a premium build and is made from ultra-light magnesium-lithium alloys to ensure that it is highly portable.

Notably, it comes with the latest 8th Generation of Intel Processor and offers a decent battery life up to 8 Hours.

Furthermore, the laptop will be available with either the Intel Core i5 or a more powerful Intel Core i7 8th Gen processors. Further, the Swift 5 runs on the Windows 10 OS and comes with 8 GB of DDR4 ram and even has a large 512 GB SSD.

It sports a narrow bezel and boasts of a 14 Inch Full HD (1920*1080 pixels) display that comes with multi-touch IPS LCD panel. Additionally, it uses the Acer superior sound technology with the True-Harmony Dolby Audio Premium.

The Acer Switch 7 black edition comes with Intel Core i7 8th Generation Laptop processor and even has the Nvidia GeForce® MX150 graphics card.

Likewise, it is sleek and weighs just 1.15 Kg. Moreover, it comes with a brushed aluminum design, which looks exquisite.

Acer claims it is the worlds first 2-in-1 laptop which comes with a fanless design and even has a discrete GPU. The Laptop boasts of a new innovative design and uses a Dual Liquid Cooling solution to keep it cool.

Further, the black edition Switch 7 has a 13.5 Inches display with 2256 x 1504 resolution and offers vivid colors.

The Spin 5 is a convertible laptop that can be used in the tablet or tent mode.

The Laptop comes in 2 models with 13 Inch and 15 Inch display, that weighs 1.5 Kg and 2.0 Kg respectively. The Spin 5 comes with Core i5 and Core i7 of 8th Gen Intel processors and has 16 GB of DDR4 Ram.

The 15 Inch model has a discrete Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics card and is a great choice for people looking for a powerful yet portable machine for gaming or video editing.

The Acer Spin also supports Acer true harmony, Dolby Audio Premium technology and even has 2 front facing speakers to offer great sound output.
