Samsung J3 Prime offers Latest Google OS
Samsung J3 Prime comes with a highlight feature of Android Nougat 7.0 along with the touch wiz UI. The company after the successful launch of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus has now launched the budget J3 Prime in the US market for $150 or Rs 10,000.
Notably, it is so far launched only in the US and may soon arrive in other countries. Notably, there are very few low-cost mobiles that come with Android Nougat. Also, this is the first budget mobile from the Korean Giant that offers the latest OS from Google.
Hardware Specifications Features
Apart from the latest Google OS, the J3 Prime comes with a 5.0 inch HD (1280*720) pixels display and 283 PPi screen density.
Powering the mobile is a Quad Core Samsung Exynos 7570 Processor with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. Oddly, there is 1.5 GB ram instead of using the standard 2 GB.
In the highly competitive market where other manufacturers are offering 3 GB or more in this price range, Samsung is skimming 0.5 GB of Ram for cost-cutting.
Additionally, it comes with 16 GB of internal storage expandable up to 128 GB using the micro -sd card.
Also, the Camera optics are very basic as it has a 5 Megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and led flash at the back. Tragically, it comes with a 2 Megapixel front camera for video calls.
The Samsung phone has 4G LTE as well as VOLTE support, and even has all other basic connectivity options like 3G / 2G / WIFI.
Lastly, it comes with a modest 2600 mAH capacity battery but has energy saving mode to prolong the battery life.
Price and Availability
The mobile is available for purchase from T-mobile and MetroPCS in the US market. The device looks quite expensive considering the low specs and poor camera. Also, Samsung has launched the Samsung J3 and the Samsung S8 with an incredible display.
