The juggernaut franchise of the gaming industry well on its 14th mainline title, it’s hard to separate success from Call of Duty.
This year, Activision has a special treat for a long time COD fans with Remastered Modern Warfare, sold with the mainline entry for 2017 called INFINITE WARFARE.
The game is being developed by Infinity Ward, which was responsible for CoD: Ghost, which had mixed reception as long as COD titles go.
As with their previous title which dwells into danger military action in space, this time, they are doubling down on space warfare, including many maps on outer satellites, planets and going space combat as a prevalent theme in their campaign. Gameplay details are scarce, but developers are seen very interested in talking about their new take on
Gameplay details are scarce, but developers are seen very interested in talking about their unique take on a campaign which by the end of this article, you will realize might have the making for being one of the best campaigns in all of the CODs.
As Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward puts it, “With Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, we are taking Call of Duty to places fans have never experienced in the series. On the one hand, this game is the kind of gritty, boots on the ground, visceral war story that Call of Duty is known for. On the other, its future setting takes players on a journey of epic scale and proportions, providing incredible gameplay innovations and new experiences for our fans. This is a grand scale, old-school, all-out war in an epic new-school setting. And it’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun.”
COD: IW will feature your Air fighter named “Jackal.” You would be able to lift off and travel to space and engage in dogfights and come back to the surface to do other missions without a single loading screen in sight.
You personal jet fighter would be upgradable and customizable, and for the first time, CoD campaign will feature an emphasis on optional quests, where you could see a civil disturbance or an attack on some part of the map and can choose to engage. These side missions will give some small rewards which can help you in customization or other parts of the future missions.

“It’s kind of the Top Gun fantasy,” the PR team explained, “You get to walk along the flight deck and have the flight crew preparing it for you and saluting you, and you get into it, and you fly out into these crazy missions that you chose to go to.”. The Flight can transform between atmospheric flight mode and zero-G flight mode for when you have to dogfight in the vacuum of space.
As of now, it is not known whether the game will feature an entirely new storyline or could be a continuation of Ghost / Advance Warfare. The plot revolves around a sudden attack from outer space which appears to be from another human colony. You play as Captain Reyes, a pilot who commands a massive warship during an attack. Aliens, as previous rumors might have suggested to some are not featuring in this game.
And for the first time, a non-Treyarch CoD title will have Zombie Mode in it. Infinity Wards previous title Ghost had Extinction mode that includes aliens. It looks like IW wanted to stay away from the alien tag in every way and opted for more famous Zombie mode instead.
For 80$, gamers will get Modern Warfare Remastered with the new installment. Activision has disagreed on the possibility of a standalone Modern Warfare Re-copy, which has made many gamers angry. CoD: MW is regarded by many as one of the best CoD game ever, and if you have no interested in buying the new CoD and only interested in the MW: R, then you have no choice but to opt for the 80$ copy.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare with Modern Warfare Remastered Edition is set to release on 4th November 2016.
