Canon yesterday has launched the new EOS 6D Mark II in the Indian market. The camera was unveiled back in June 2017 and yesterday the camera was launched in India. It will be available both online as well as offline in the market.
The EOS 6D Mark II comes with a new Full frame 26.3 Megapixel CMOS sensor. There is a 45 point cross type autofocus system for improved focusing abilities.
The camera comes with a new DIGIC 7 camera processor and comes with an ISO range of 100 to 40000. The EOS 6D Mark II comes with advanced features like 7,560 pixel RGB plus IR metering sensor for accurate colour detection in all light conditions and it can also detect people in images and skin tones and gives priority to human subjects compared to objects.
Another wonderful additional features PROs will love in the EOS 6D Mark II is automatic lens correction, the camera can detect the type of lens used and apply a correction based on the lens. It saves up time in the post production if you wish to use it.
To make things further easy for photographers it comes with a new 3.0 touch screen panel helps in focus on subjects with ease. The Canon EOS 6D Mark II comes with the ability to shoot upto 6.5 FPS and supports modern features like wireless and NFC connectivity to transfer media. The camera can record 1080P videos at 60 FPS, but it cannot record at 4K resolution.
No support for 4K is a bit of a low point if we compare it the Sony alpha 6500 which is also priced above 1 lakh for the body alone which offers 4K video recording, a must feature for video enthusiasts.
To make up for that Canon has made the EOS 6D Mark II waterproof and dustproof.
The EOS 6D Mark II is priced at Rs. 1.33 lakhs for the body alone, if you wish to purchase EF 24-70mm f/4L, IS USM lens bundle it is priced at Rs. 1,84,995, or an EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM lens bundle priced at Rs. 2,02,995.
