Fingerprint Sensor – The Coolpad Note 3 has a very special feature which are not present in any of the smartphone in this range – The Finger print scanner. The Finger print scanner is located at the back of the smartphone and adds to easy unlocking and offer enhanced security to the device. Off-course it adds to the style and Oomph factor to the mobile.
The smartphone has a 5.5 inch screen with HD (1280*720) display resolution, with 267 PPI.
Processor – The smartphone is powered by the Mediatek 6753 Octa – Core processor , the same processor which powers the recently launched Meizu M2 Note.
The Coolpad Note 3 has got 3 GB RAM for Indian version which makes it the cheapest smartphone in India with 3 GB RAM.
OS – The smartphone runs on the latest Android Version Lollipop 5.0 with Coolpad custom UI – Cool UI 6.0 which eliminates the App drawer. The UI is good and smooth we experienced while reviewing Coolpad Dazen 1 and Coolpad Dazen X7.
Camera – The smartphone has a 13 MP rear camera with Autofocus and a CMOS sensor rather than a CCD sensor which we see on most mobiles. Fundamentally both CMOS and CCD offer decent image quality, CMOS is newer technology and a bit more energy efficient.
The Front Camera is also 5 MP which offer to take good selfies for shutter bugs.
Battery – The smartphone has a massive 3000 mAH battery capacity much like it’s arch rival the Meizu M2 Note. The smartphone will be a dual sim device with 16 gigabytes of internal storage, along with the option to use the micro-sd card.
The Coolpad Note 3 will also offer 4G connectivity along with the native 3G and 2G support.
Verdict – At a very affordable price point of Rs. 8,999 with 3 GB RAM and finger print scanner it is the industry’s first smartphone with these features in this price range. We think it will get lot of response from enthusiastic tech buyers, looking for a performance smartphone in this price range.
