Fastrack Forays into Fitness Arena With Reflex Activity Tracker – Fastrack Reflex Activity Tracker is Launched in India for Rs. 1995 in India to Compete with the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 in the Sub 2K price range.
Fastrack, the fashion accessory company, after various talks, finally forayed into the smart wearables segment with the launch of a new smart activity tracker.
Dubbed as the Fastrack Reflex, the fitness tracker is priced at Rs. 1995 and comes in various color options. Also, the band of the tracker can also be replaced with other colored bands, which is a cool thing to have around.
Speaking more the Fastrack Reflex, it can perform all the operations of what an activity tracker does: such as counting the number of hours slept, calories burnt, and total step count per day and several other things.
Moreover, the Reflex also can wake you up from sleep, which means that you can set up an alarm and it can also notify you about the phone calls and messages that arrive on your phone. The phone can be paired with Android and iOS device.
Fastrack claims that this activity tracker can last up to 7 to 14 days on a single charge and that’s way less than what Mi Band 2 offers. The tracker comes bundled with a micro USB cable and also has a micro USB port. Fastrack claims that the tracker can be fully charged within one hour and that’s a bonus.
Moreover, the Fastrack Reflex features splash resistant properties, that means that you can’t go swimming with this tracker. That said, it can bear your sweat and some splashes, though.
Speaking at the launch of Fastrack Reflex, Somprabh Singh, Head of Design and Technology, Fastrack said as follows: “The Fastrack Reflex band was created with the youth in mind- to give them a seamless experience with our introduction into the wearable technology category.
Based on insights derived, we have designed the product to cater to the needs of the today’s youth- a fashionable product that has a great battery life, can be charged quickly and a price point that is relevant to the segment.
Retailing at Rs 1995, the Fastrack Reflex has a 14-day battery life and does not require an external charger as the product itself acts as a USB and charges within 60 minutes. The product will have regular software updates that will help enhance the overall consumer experience. This is Fastrack’s first launch in this category, and we look forward to creating many exciting products moving forward.”
The Fastrack Reflex will be made available in all the offline stores of Fastrack and Titan stores as well. The tracker can be purchased from online retailers as well.
Fastrack Reflex vs. Xiaomi Mi Band 2
Going by the pricing, the Fastrack Reflex is aimed at taking on the Xiaomi Mi Band 2, which is priced at Rs. 1999 and is an excellent value for money option till date.
However, the Mi Band 2 has some advanced features such as heart rate sensor, which is passive option. It don’t record the heart rate all the time but only when required. Fastrack Reflex comes from the popular youth brand and may appeal to many Gen Y buyers.
