Gionee has launched a new smartphone “Gionee P7 Max” in the Indian market today. The Gionee P7 Max is priced at Rs. 13999. The smartphone will be available for purchase online as well as offline.
The Gionee P7 Max comes with a 13 Mega Pixel rear camera with a Dual LED Flash and autofocus support.
There is a 5 Mega Pixel front camera to click selfies and for video calling. The smartphone comes with 3 GB of Ram and is powered by the Octal-Core Mediatek 6595M processor clocked at 2.2 GHz.
The Mediatek 6595M is an old processor which got launched back in mid 2014. The processor was used in several smartphones in 2015 including the likes of Lenovo Vibe X2.
It is a decent processor but not very fast compared to the modern processors like Snapdragon 650. It scores below 50K on the Antutu Benchmark.
The Gionee P7 Max has a 5.5 Inch HD display, and comes with 267 PPI. It is a bit strange to see Gionee not going for a Full HD Display panel in this price range.
The Gionee P7 Max offers Dual Sim Support and has 4G LTE as well as VOLTE connectivity. The smartphone can be used with Idea, Airtel, JIO and Vodafone 4G LTE Sim.
The internal storage is 32 GB and it can be expanded using a microSD card upto 128 GB. The P7 Max comes with gesture support and also have auto call record and theft protection features.
The smartphone runs on the Android Marshmallow 6.0 along with the Gionee custom Skin.
The P7 Max comes with a decent 3100 mAH battery capacity which is sufficient to last all day.
The Gionee P7 Max priced at Rs. 13999 competes with the likes of Huawei Honor 5X, Redmi Note 3 , LE 2 and Moto G4 Plus in this price range.
Gionee has never fought, the best specs at affordable price online battle with Chinese rivals, but on the other hand has always focused on selling more devices through it’s wide retail distribution network.
