Honor 10 Offers Dual Cameras and a Gradient Design
The breaking story is, Huawei is launching the new Honor 10 exclusively on Flipkart on 15th May. The launch is ahead of the OnePlus 6 arrival on Amazon India (on 17th May).
The battle for affordable flagships is going to heat up with the launch of two new devices in the 3rd week of May. Also, LG recently launched the G7 ThinQ that they can launch by the end of this month.
To recall, the Honor 10 was unveiled in China on 19th April 2018, and just after a month, Huawei is bringing it to India.
Also, the recent launch of the Flagship Honor P20 Pro on Amazon India for Rs. 64,990 showcase Huawei’s commitment to the Indian market.
The phone is available in China for CNY 2599 (Rs. 27,200) for the 6 GB Ram and 64 GB storage version whereas the 6 GB /128 GB version costs CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 31,500).
The Dual sim phone has expandable storage up to 256 GB using the memory card.
We are expecting Huawei to keep the price below Rs. 34,000 in the Indian market.
Specification and Features for the Honor 10
For starters, the Honor 10 comes with a gradient rear panel design in the mirage blue and purple colors also it is available in solid colors – black and grey.
There is a glass back design, but it is a bit different in comparison to the exquisite P20 Pro.
Besides, it comes with a Notch Display and has AI features to enhance the camera performance.
The home button is present below the display, similar to P20 Pro and comes with a blazing fast fingerprint reader that can even work with wet fingers.
Notably, it has a 7.7 mm thickness and weighs 153 grams.
There is a 5.84 Inch IPS LCD Display with 19:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ (2280*1080 pixels) offer 423 PPi. Also, protecting the screen is Corning Gorilla Glass (unspecified version), and it comes with an 80% screen to body ratio.
Powering the phone is the Octa-Core Kirin 970 processor that has a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz. Additionally, there is Mali G72 MP2 GPU that offers fluid gaming experience.
Notably, the P20 Pro also uses the same processor, but it is no match for the Snapdragon 845 used in the OnePlus 6.
The user experience is excellent as the phone comes with the Android Oreo 8.1 along with the Huawei custom skin EMUI 8.1 out of the box.
For photography, it comes with Dual (24 MP + 16 MP) rear cameras with Dual LED flash and f/1.8 aperture.
Huawei is banking on AI for improved camera performance and even has written “AI Camera” at the back.
The company is calling it AI 2.0, and it can detect the scenes more accurately and apply the preset effects to your images to enhance them.
Besides, the AI can process images with the Prisma like effects and that too faster than the iPhone X.
Fueling the device is a 3400 mAH capacity battery that comes with fast charging support.
There is USB Type C Port and Bluetooth 4.2 support with APTX compatibility.
The Honor 10 will compete with the much-hyped Oneplus 6, and the pricing will be a crucial factor in the success of the Huawei’s affordable flagship in India.
