Huawei has been on a roll since 2014. Their sub-brand Honor has made some major strides in the last year, and with the overwhelming response to Honor 6 & Honor 7, the brand has become popular.
Honor smartphones known for their sturdy build quality and at the same time are pocket-friendly phones with good specs.
That being said, after announcing their new flagships Huawei P9 and P9 plus this month, they’re all geared up to release their new mid-range smartphone “Honor V8”.
It is going to be the successor to famous Huawei Honor 7.
Honor V8 will feature a metallic body like most of their current gen smartphones.
Huawei shared an image showing two lenses and a V projected in light as seen in the below Image.
The V8 will sport Dual 12 Megapixel camera somewhat similar to Huawei Honor 6 Plus and Huawei P9 .
It is going to miss the improbable Leica lens, which is found on the Huawei P9.
The following specs which also surfaced are that it will feature a 5.5 inch Full HD 1920*1080 pixels display with a 401 PPI.
Huawei is going to use their in-house Kirin 950 64 Bit Octa-Core processor coupled with 4 GB Of RAM.
The processor is also used in the Huawei Mate 8, a smartphone which we adore for its long lasting battery life.
Honor V8 will not be as long lasting as the Huawei Mate 8 but will come with a 3000 mah battery capacity.
The smartphone will have fast charging support and there is also going to be a fingerprint reader on the back.
The pricing is alleged at $310 (Rs. 21000) which is quite affordable considering the specs of the new Huawei
The smartphone is confirmed to get launched on 10th May 2016.
Huawei Honor 5C
The company is also ready to release “Honor 5C”, which will be the successor to the Huawei Honor 4C. Huawei already has replaced the Honor 4X with the Honor 5X, the Honor 5C is now awaited to replace the old Honor 4C.
The rumors are stating improvements across the specs and new smartphone is also going to get slightly larger from 5.0 inch to a 5.2-inch screen size.
The phone is said to have a metal casing and a 5.2″ Full HD display with 423 Ppi.
It will also sport their in-house Kirin 650 processor along with 2 GB of ram.
There are improvements in the camera section as well, where the resolution of the front camera is bumped up to 8 MP and rear camera will be 13 Mega Pixels.
It’ll have 16 Gb of inbuilt storage and with an option to expand the storage using the micro-sd card.
The smartphone is expected to be officially launched on 28th April.
With multiple launches across segments and quality products for buyers, this might be the second best year in a row for Huawei.
