HP just launched “the worlds thinnest laptop” HP spectre in India couple of days back. It is the only gorgeous looking laptop you will ever want if you are an avid Windows users for other folks Macbook still rules when it comes to portability and performance.
LG has also some days back launched the LG Gram , one of the thinnest and lightest Windows 10 laptop in India.

It is going to be available to purchase from retail as well as online stores very soon. So far it is not listed on Amazon or Flipkart , but we expect that to happen very soon.

HP has just launched their latest laptop HP spectre in India, which HP proudly claims to be the world’s thinnest laptop with the thickness of just 10.4 mm. The US based company is marketing the product as the “Macbook Killer”, since its slimmer than the macbook Air and Macbook by Apple. The  Spectre has been launched at a premium pricing of  ₹1,19,990 for the base variant.

The Spectre comes with a 13.3″ FHD (1080 x 1920p) display with edge to edge Gorilla glass coating. The two tone finish of the durable aluminium and carbon fibre gives the Spectre a premium finish and light frame at the same time. Carbon fiber and aluminum craftsmanship give this device the look and feel of pure luxury. The laptop weighs just 1.1 kg which is even lighter than the uber successful Macbook Air (1.35 kg).

HP has worked really hard for the design of the Spectre. To maintain the slimness they have come up with an innovative hinge design for a clean and hinge-less look. It comes with a  back-lit keyboard and a glass track-pad for better experience and accuracy.

Unlike most of the ultra-books , HP spectre doesnt come up with the under powered Intel Core M processors. Instead it is powered by the latest 6th generation i5 or i7 Skylake processor by Intel. To keep the system cool and under the right temperature, company has come up with their own hyper baric cooling system which doesn’t just push heat out of the machine but actually draws in cool air and directs it over the processor, to keep it running at peak performance.

The Spectre comes with Windows 10, 8 gigs of RAM, three USB C ports and audio by Bangs and Olufsen. The storage options are limited to 512 GB(PCIE based SSD) and the battery life promised by HP is 9.5 hours.

Overall the Spectre seems to be a promising product with powerful specs and an amazing design. It will be interesting to see how it performs in the Indian market in the premium laptop category.
