HTC Desire 650 – All You Need to Know
HTC unveiled the HTC Desire 650 back in November 2016 and it will be going on sale next month in UK and Europe soon and will soon launch in other countries. It is likely that HTC may launch it in India in February 2017.
Also, HTC is planning to launch a new series “U”, the two smartphones are expected – U Ultra and U Play at the upcoming HTC Event.
HTC has shared the specs and details of the HTC 650, however, there’s no information on pricing.
The HTC Desire 650 is a mid range smartphone from HTC. The desire 650 carries a 5 inch HD display (1280*720 pixels)and a Quad Core Snapdragon processor of unknown series.
Besides, it has 2 GB RAM and it offers 16 GB of internal memory for storage. It also includes an SD card slot to support micro SD cards up to 2 TB.
The smartphone comes with 13 MP rear camera with an aperture size of F/2.2, LED Flash and Auto-Focus. It carries a 5 MP camera on the front for selfies, but there’s no LED flash for illumination.
HTC’s signature features like it’s Boom sound, dual stereo speakers, are also present on this smartphone. Positively, the device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 skinned with HTC’s Sense 8 UI.
The connectivity features of the smartphone include NFC, 4G LTE, and WIFI. It includes both GPS and GLONASS for navigation. The smartphone comes with modest battery backup with just 2200 mAh capacity, which may not last full day on 4G.
The smartphone’s internals is not very impressive, but it comes with a decent build quality and HTC brand name. HTC Desire 650 has curved edges and a textured rear surface near the lower half. The textured area is supposed to offer better grip and contrast the smartphone’s color as well. HTC is calling this design as double back, however, it looks little similar to the Google Pixel XL.
HTC may not price the smartphone below 10,000 INR, but the device misses a lot of things like Full HD display (no IPS either) Fingerprint scanner, a larger battery.
The phone will face stiff competition from tyrant Chinese phones, which are ready to be sold at cut-throat prices.
While brands like HTC are covering up their high pricing in the name of quality. Now-days even the Chinese makers are improvising their product quality. The fact, that Chinese phones are cheap quality is a matter of past.
Companies including HTC, Samsung, and even Sony are yet to realize that mid-range smartphone buyers are looking for more beyond just the quality assurance.
