Update 08 December 2015 – HTC today Announced that the HTC One A9 would go on sale in Indian market on 15 December 2015. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 29,990 and will be available exclusively on e-commerce website Snapdeal.
The registrations will start on 9th December and will go on till 14th December.
HTC One A9 bring you best of both the world’s (Android and Apple). The smartphone was launched a couple of days back in the US. Lot’s of analysts have compared the rear design with that of Apple iPhone 6.
It is mostly true that the back panel of the new HTC One A9 has a striking resemblance to the Apple iPhone 6.
HTC also said they are going to launch the HTC Desire 828 smartphone in the Indian market.
But I have not come across any analyst review of the mobile – which has an opinion on the front side of the smartphone. Lot’s of opinions are made by reading lots of others opinion. Here is a fresh one though.
The HTC One A9 front side has a curious resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy J7 or Galaxy A8 for that matter. The Boom sound speaker is gone which was native to most HTC high-end smartphones.
While not too much is going on for HTC; as people discarded the HTC One M9+ for having same design that was made two years back for the HTC One M8.
HTC thought of marrying Apple and Samsung designs to have something of its own. The result is the HTC One A9.
Let’s Look at HTC One A9, Samsung J7 and Apple iPhone 6

The iconic Samsung oval physical touch button you can see on the HTC One A9. HTC never had the Physical button.

Is copying such a bad thing?
I don’t think so it is if HTC can improve the existing designs and add value to it and make the smartphone more relevant to the buyers. This may work better than the boom sound speaker design.
The Boom sound speaker design takes too much space and reduces the screen to body ratio in HTC Flagship smartphones. Why not have a powerful compact speaker and give more space to screen!

ohh Battery – The smartphone has a modest battery which is mere 2150 mAH capacity. You may actually need to charge it twice a day. There are reasons why HTC has been failing – do i need to write more about this battery. You launch a good, expensive smartphone and you forgot to add a decent battery.
The mobile comes with support for 4G LTE support along with the native connectivity options like 3G and 2G.
Overall – The HTC One A9 looks gorgeous , no matter what every one says, is available in some great colors and offers good camera quality and performance. If you can live with a little less battery in order to carry a uber cool smartphone ,then you may like the new HTC One A9.
