HTC has suddenly become exceedingly active in the Indian market and last week they launched a fire hose of new devices – HTC 10, HTC Desire 825, HTC Desire 628, HTC Desire X9 and the HTC Desire 630 and yesterday a new HTC One M9 Plus Prime Camera Edition smartphone in India.
HTC has listed the price for the new smartphone at Rs. 22,990 which seems a lot fair if you have already read about the insane price for new Sony Xperia X launched in India yesterday.
HTC some time back launched the HTC One M9 Prime Camera Edition in Germany which has a 5.0-inch display. The HTC One M9 Plus Prime Camera Edition has a larger display and some specs changes.
The HTC One M9 Plus Prime Camera Edition comes with a metallic finish like the HTC One ME, the large camera dial at the back is pitch black and at its sheer size gives an impression of its prowess.
HTC One M9+ CE (Camera Edition) sports a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920*1080) pixels display with 423 PPI.
It is powered by the MediaTek Helio X10 SoC clocked at 2.2 GHz coupled with 2 GB of RAM.
The HTC One M9 Plus Prime Camera Edition falls short on the storage expectations and offers just 16 GB storage, but it can further be expanded up to 2 TB using the micro-sd card. (I am not sure they make two TB micro-SD cards, I once in my weak moments thought of buying a 200 GB card, but it costs a fortune – Rs. 9,000 only).
The smartphone has decent battery life and has a 2840 mAH capacity battery.
The Highlight of the HTC One M9 Plus Prime Camera Edition is course it’s camera.
The camera optics offered are 13 MP rear camera which clicks vivid, clear photos with the help of laser Auto-focus and optical image stabilization. Having OIS is a big deal even the iPhone 6s don’t have it, Hi5 to 6s Plus guys.
The videos captured through it will also be less shaky as it has OIS and it also supports 4K recording.
The front camera has their ultimate ultra pixel system; 4-UltraPixel front-camera with BSI sensor for better low-light performance.
If you thought after the HTC 10 BoomSound speakers are dead; they are not, HTC One M9 Plus Prime Camera Edition have them beaming at the front side.
And for a change, HTC has added some feature which most users can’t live without in 2016, a fingerprint scanner at the front embedded in the home button.
Egregiously, the software department is said to be running the legacy Android Lollipop and has the Sense UI on top.
The change in some features such as dimensions and weight are minimal but still worth noting.
The HTC M9+ PCE weighs 168 gm which slightly higher than M9 PCE which weighs 10gm lesser with 158 gm.
The dimensions measuring are 150.9 x 71.9 x 9.6 mm.
All the connectivity options are present including 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth.
The M9+ PCE carries a price tag of ₹23,990. It is listed on the official HTC India site as well and is on sale at third-party retail stores and online.
The smartphone is available in Silver, and Gunmetal color variants and is a treat for HTC fans and Shutterbugs looking forward to doing some weekend photography with a smartphone.
