HTC is planning a new smartphone – HTC U11 Plus – If rumors are to be believed HTC is planning to launch a new flagship smartphone in November 2017.
HTC has the HTC U11 flagship smartphone which offers everything that the competition is offering and has a damn good camera. But it doesn’t look futuristic as it comes with the same old 16:9 design.
HTC is planning to launch a new Flagship smartphone called as the HTC U11 plus which will offer a 5.99 Inch Display with 18:9 aspect ratio and an incredible 2880*1440 pixels resolution display.
The HTC U11 plus is codenamed as Ocean Master and is likely to launch with 2 more smartphones which could be watered down version of the U11 Plus.
As per the leaks, the HTC U11 Plus will come with the same 12-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture and OIS as is in the HTC U11. The back side will have the same glass design with highly glossy liquid surface.
Qualcomm is yet far away from releasing a successor to Snapdragon 835, so we can expect the device to be powered by the SD 835 and come along with the Adreno 540 GPU.
The HTC U11 Plus will come with 6 GB of ram and will have 64 GB and 128 GB storage options. Other top features on the U11 plus are squeezable frame, IP 68 rating to make it dust and water resistant.
The smartphone will run on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 update from Google and will have minimal bloatware. The smartphone is alleged to launch on 11 November in China and will likely make it’s way to Indian/ Global market in the coming months.
Also, some part of HTC’s mobile unit has been acquired by Google for a 1.1 Bn dollar deal and we can see a greater collaboration between the companies in future in terms of software updates and hardware symmetry.
Google is planning to unveil the new Pixel smartphones on 4th October which are also made by HTC.
