Huawei Honor Holly 3 Launched in India
Huawei has launched three new smartphones in India, today. They cater to different segments to tap on the huge smartphone demand for the festive season. The Chinese company has launched Honor 8, Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3. The Huawei Honor Holly 3 is the budget phone that is the first “Made in India” smartphone by the Chinese manufacturer.
Specs and Details – Huawei Honor Holly 3
Honor Holly 3 has a 5.5 display with 720p(HD) resolution. Further, it has Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and comes with the company’s EMUI 4.1 skin on top.
For imaging, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with a BSI sensor and a f/2.0 aperture on the back. Nowadays, since the front camera matters more to buyers than the rear camera, Huawei has provided an 8 MP front shooter with f/2.0 for taking better selfies. Most smartphones in this range come with a 5 MP camera.
Under the hood, it has 1.2 GHz Octa-core Kirin 620 processor that is sufficient to handle most of the tasks. However, the Kirin 620 is a dated processor, launched back in December 2014 and its performance is comparable to Snapdragon 410.
In other words, it is no match for the Snapdragon 430 used in Redmi 3s Prime or Snapdragon 650 in Redmi Note 3.
Additionally, there is 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory expandable up to 128 GB via external SD card. Moreover, it comes with a massive 3100 mAh battery that should be good for a full day use.
Holly 3 has all the major connectivity options like 4G LTE/ VOlTE, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Micro USB and Bluetooth v4.0. Additionally, has essential sensors like accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass, and G-sensor.
Lastly, it will be sold at the price tag of Rs. 9,999 and will be available in three colors – white, black and gold.
In conclusion, the Holly 3 looks mediocre in comparison to premium build, powerful phones like the Redmi Note 3 or LeEco Le 2, in the similar price range. It will be interesting to see how it performs in the Indian market.
