Huawei is planning to refresh the Mate S smartphone from last year released in September 2015. New leaks suggests that the smartphone is to be called as the Huawei Mate S2 and will come with some similarities to the last year the Mate S and the Huawei Nexus 6P as far as the design goes.
As per some of the sources closer to the development the smartphone can come with the Force touch display similar to the Huawei Mate S which was the first Android smartphone to come with the Force touch display to rival the iPhone 6S.
The Huawei Mate S never got launched in India but was incredibly successful in China as it was one of the most beautifully built metal phone aesthetically designed by Huawei and came with latest hardware specs and the coveted Force touch display.
The new leaks comes from the Chinese certification web portal TENAA showcasing the design of the new Mate S2. The Huawei Mate S2 comes with a very similar camera placement like the Huawei’s own Nexus 6P and even the circular fingerprint scanner resembles the Google’s last year stellar smartphone.

DESIGN – The black camera strip present at the back makes a comeback but this time without any camera bump on the Huawei Mate S2. It remains to be made completely by metal except the plastic at the bottom of the phone for antenna signals. Although the front seems to be changed and misses out on the main highlight of the Nexus 6P , the front facing speakers.
The Huawei Mate S2 comes with a large 5.5 to 5.9 inch screen with Full HD resolution( 1920*1080) pixels and Huawei Logo at the back and the front side. The overall form factor looks to be sleek with no camera bump and along with the traditional button placements.
Powering the phone is the all new Huawei made Hi-Silicon Kirin 960 chipset clocked at an impressive 2.6 GHz to offer incredible performance. It comes along with 4 GB of ram (no 6 GB for the Mate S2).

It is expected to have 16 Megapixel rear camera and there is going to be a 8 megapixel front camera to click selfies. . The Mate S sported a 2700 mAh battery, the Mate S2 gets an upgrade and is expected to sport a larger 3500 mAh battery for all day usage.
The phone is rumored to run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with EMUI skin on top.
The smartphone is expected to get launched on September 1st at IFA as reported by the folks at Gizmo China. Huawei has been doing well in India with their mid range smartphones like the Huawei Honor 5C and the Huawei Honor 5X.
