Huawei has launched 2 new flagship smartphones today for 2016. Huawei P9 and P9 Plus got unveiled at an event in London. The smartphones come with a Dual Rear Camera Setup with 12 Mega Pixel Leica Lens. The highlight of the Huawei P9 smartphone is the 12 MP Dual Lens system by Leica (a German camera manufacturer).
Camera – Huawei has tied up with Leica to improve the camera quality of the new smartphones. Leica is a premium manufacturer of Camera and lens headquartered in Germany. It is one of the legendary camera companies, which sold their first camera back in 1925 known as the Leica 1.

The Huawei P9 and P9 plus come with similar Dual camera setup with 2 lenses each with 12 MegaPixel resolution. One lens only captures the Monochromatic black and white light which enables it to capture a lot more detail in the image when compared to a single lens camera.
The amount of light captured by the Huawei P9 is 90% more when compared to the Samsung S7 and 270% more when compared to the Apple iPhone 6s.
The Dual Lens support f/2.2 aperture and there is also an 8 Megapixel front selfies camera on the smartphone.
The other camera captures the RGB colors and light, the camera image signal processor works on both the images and creates one better-looking image. Because of the Dual lens setup, the camera may not be as responsive as the single lens camera on a Galaxy S7 but it also not going to be slow.
