Infocus had launched another smartphone in its Bingo series known has the Infocus Bingo 50 (Indian name Infocus M 460). The smartphone is priced at a lowely Rs. 7499 and is the cheapest smartphone to offer 3 GB RAM and Android Marshmallow in India.
Infocus started the Bingo series with the launch of Bingo 21, which is an Entry level smartphone with 4G connectivity.
Now the company has launched a more power packed addition to the series, which includes more RAM, better display and camera than its predecessor.
The highlight of the smartphone is it’s selfie camera which comes with a 8 MP front camera with Autofocus support.
The 8 MP front camera resolution makes it a good selfie smartphone in sub 8K price range. The smartphone also has an 8 MP rear camera with Auto-focus and LED flash support.
The Infocus Bingo 50 comes with a 5 inch display with a resolution of 1280*720 pixels with a pixel density of 293 PPI. The on screen soft keys take little room under the display. Further there is no special additions on the front like a protective glass, and misses little things like Led flash for front camera.
The smartphone is powered by a Quad core 64-Bit MediaTek MT6735 processor . It is the same processor which is used in the Coolpad Note 3 Lite which is the cheapest smartphone with a Fingerprint scanner and similar specs.
The Infocus Bingo 50 offers 3 GB RAM and has a 16 GB on-board storage. Very few smartphone makers gives 3 GB RAM under the sub-10K budge segment. The storage is expandable to 64 GB using a micro-sd card slot.
Another good thing with the smartphone is that it runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0. The UI is slightly customized by Infocus (Inlife UI).
Android Marshmallow offers more customization and improved battery life compared to Android Lollipop. The deep sleep mode on the Android Marshmallow and several under the hood improvements, Apps optimizations help marshmallow offer smoother performance with good battery savings.
The smartphone packs a decent 2500 mAh battery which is sufficient to run it all day considering the display size , OS and processor.
The smartphone is built of plastic and includes a chrome finish running along the frame. The smartphone is available in gray and black colors once it goes on sale.
For a normal user the Infocus Bingo 50 meets all requirements in every aspect like, 4G connectivity, more RAM, better front camera and latest Android version. We may have to wait for some more days to get the Bingo 50 and it also likely to be available online as well as in physical stores.
