Infocus is back with a new phone named as Turbo 5. It is their first smartphone released in 2017, by the brand. The Infocus Epic 1 was launched in October 2016.

The all-new Turbo 5 comes in 2 variants: 2 GB RAM + 16 GB storage priced at Rs 6,999, the 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage variant price Rs 7,999. The phone comes in Mocha Gold and Pure Gold color options and will be up for grabs starting 4th July, exclusively on Amazon.

Design

The Turbo 5 comes with a metal unibody design, with a 5.2 inch HD display along with 2.5D curved glass on top. The front of the phone looks quite similar to the LeEco smartphones. Especially, because of those black side bezels and signature gold color.

Besides, there is a single rear camera with LED flash. Turbo 5 also has a  fingerprint scanner on the backside. 

Hardware

The Infocus Turbo 5 justifies its name by sporting a massive 5000 mAh battery pack.

Notably, it is not very thick measures just 8.9 mm in thickness and weighs 164 grams. According to InFocus, the phone can deliver 2 days of battery life on a single charge. Also, offers 34 days of standby time. It comes with reverse charging support to charge other mobiles.

Powering the phone is Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz coupled with Mali-T720 MP1 GPU. As mentioned above, it comes in 2 variants – 2 GB RAM / 16 GB storage and 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage. 

Camera

Furthermore, InFocus have gone with a single camera set-up with this entry-level phone. The Turbo 5 comes with a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front selfie shooter. Additionally, both the cameras have a f/2.2 aperture lens for clicking images.

Connectivity & OS

Lastly, the phone comes with Android N 7.0 out of the box, and special features include a split-screen mode. It also offers 4G VoLTE connectivity, FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.

Concluding Thoughts: The Infocus Turbo 5 is the first phone with such a massive battery backup at an incredibly low price. It is bound to become a good selling smartphone in the Indian market.

Also, Infocus has recently launched the upgraded version of the phone called as Infocus Turbo 5 Plus.
