TCL Pride T500 is the latest smartphone from the lesser known brand TCL which makes some of the popular Chinese smartphones run for their money when it comes to offering high-end specs for a tight budget. Those who are unaware of the TCL brand the company is actually the parent organization of the Alcatel Smartphones. TCL has 55% stake in the Alcatel mobile communications.
The TCL Pride T500 is launched today exclusively on Snapdeal for a price tag of Rs. 10,499. There is also a 5% discount on the purchase of smartphone with HDFC debit cards, effectively makes the smartphone price 10k.
The TCL Pride T500 heats up the specs war and competes with the Specs monster under 10K. The key competitors for the smartphone are the Yu Yureka Plus, Lenovo K3 Note and the Coolpad Note 3.
The smartphone is powered by the 2.5 GHz Octa – Core processor, however, the Snapdeal listing does not mention the processor. ( It can be a mistake as well the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5 GHz is a Quad Core and MediaTek has 6595 Octa-Core processor which might have been used by TCL).
If you thought fingerprint scanner smartphones were cool, then the TCL Pride T500 packs a surprise – an Iris Scanner to unlock the smartphone which scans your eye and unlocks the device.
The smartphone has 2 GB of RAM which is sufficient for multi-tasking and playing Android Games. The smartphone runs on the Android Lollipop 5.1 OS and has 16 GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded further using the Micro-SD card.
The smartphone has a 13 Mega Pixel Rear Camera which comes with Auto-focus and Led Flash. The front camera is also an 8 Megapixel shooter on the smartphone for taking selfies.
The smartphone comes with Dual Sim Support and offers high-speed data with 4G LTE connectivity along with the 3G and 2G support.
The TCL Pride T500 has a 3000 mAH battery capacity which is more than enough to last all day with moderate to heavy usage.
The smartphone is available in white and slate grey color on Snapdeal. I would advise you to check the specs (especially the processor) with Snapdeal and confirm it before buying the smartphone.
