JIO Phone Sales are looking Impressive
Although, at the time of the unveiling of the JIO Phone (on 21st July), it was said that the pre-booking would start from 24th August. However, now the pre-booking has already begun, and some of the retailers have also crossed the milestone of 1000 bookings.
As per the image shared below, a retailer named as Hello Beauty Collection has already booked 5000 customers for the upcoming JIO Phone.
There are a considerable number of such retailers across India who have done registration for the JIO Phone and we can expect an excellent initial response to the device.
Retailers Getting JIO Sales Certificate
Although, it is difficult to say how many JIO phones are already pre-booked and what is the exact JIO phone sales numbers. Unless the company decided to shares the official count of pre-booking.
Notably, the retailers are showing a lot of enthusiasm in the JIO phone booking. And have already received an initial certificate of appreciation from JIO sales and distribution team.
Further, the scenario is looking positive for the cheapest 4G Volte feature phone available in India. To buy the JIO Phone, the buyer needs to deposit Rs 1500 as security with the company, for three years.
JIO Phone Availability and Recharges
Besides, the Jio phone will become available in the market starting 1st Week of September. The online registration for the phone will begin from 24th August using the MyJIO App and from the JIO official website.
JIO plans to bring 5 million such phones and would be targeting the 50 crore feature phone users.
With the new JIO phone, you will also need to do a Rs. 153 recharge to get 1 GB daily data and benefits include an unlimited voice calling and SMS. Furthermore, the buyers can do a 309 and 399 recharge which offers 1 GB/ day data for 56 days or 84 days period.
Also, Jio has recently launched a new Rs. 49 recharge especially for JIO phone users that offers 1 GB data per day.
Vodafone Complaint Against JIO Phone
In a related occurrence, Vodafone has said to DOT (department of telecom) that the JIO phone will erode the revenues for telecom sector further. As it comes with a cheaper unlimited calling option for the subscribers and may impact the earnings of telecom companies in India.
