Up for Sale – Largest Video Game Collection – By Guinness World Record Holder
Meet Michael Thomasson; he is a 43-year-old video game collector who holds the Guinness World Record for the most extensive video game collection on the planet.
Do you want to become a Guinness World Record Holder-Here is a Chance
Do you want to become a world record holder surely you can buy this gaming collection and become one? The only caveat is you may have to spend 4,733,6000 Indian rupees approximately.
How He started
World record-holder Michael Thomasson remembers when he bought the first video game when he was a 12 years old, and his love for gaming made him a Guinness book world record holder. He is 43-year-old Buffalo, N.Y., resident and has more video games than anybody else on the planet.
His first game was Cosmic Avenger he got when he was 12-years-old. Thirty-one years later, his collection has grown to a staggering 11,000 titles & some people think they are the biggest collectors.
“I have games on cartridge, laser disc. I have VHS-based games, cassette-based games,” Thomasson said
Thomasson has sold his collection twice, once in 1989 to help fund the purchase of a Sega Genesis, and then again in 1998 to use the money for his wedding to current wife, JoAnn. He rarely pays the full value for the titles and wife allows him to buy games worth $3000 a month.
Why Is He Selling the Hard work and Passion of 30 Years?
Now he says he is selling it for some personal commitment to raise funds for the family and his own needs. It is heartening to lose someone who has to build this collection over such an extended period and maybe some other collector may add to his collection.
His wife has already restricted his spending on Games and as the rumor goes asked him to sell it off. Let’s see in coming days how much this sold for! Probably good for the family to focus on other needs which are fundamental and essential.
