Latest and Upcoming Sony Smartphones – Xperia 1 Mark III, Xperia 5 Mark III, Xperia 10 Mark III

Let’s check out the latest smartphones from Sony that the company has recently unveiled and will launch in different markets soon.

Sony Xperia 1 Mark III

Sony launched its Xperia 1 Mark III on 14 April 2021 along with two other smartphones. The brand is claiming that these phones come with exciting features that are not present on other mobiles.

Let’s take a look at its specs:

The Xperia 1 Mark III features a 6.5 inch 4K (3840*1644)pixels HDR OLED CinemaWide display along with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth touch.

Also, it comes with a Corning Gorilla glass victus.

Qualcomm’s best processor is used for powering the phone which is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Octa-core processor that is fabricated on a 5nm chipset that provides you brilliant performance.

Additionally, it has an Adreno 660 GPU for enjoying gaming.

The Xperia 1 Mark III runs on the Android 11 operating system.

The phone is available in 2 storage variant.

  • 12GB RAM and 256GB storage support.
  • 12GB RAM and 512GB storage support.

Furthermore, it also supports expandable storage up to 1TB(use shared SIM slot).

The Sony Xperia 1 comes with a Triple rear camera setup which involves a 12MP(f/1.7) primary camera, a 12MP telephoto lens that will automatically adjust focal length both at 70mm f/2.3 and 105mm f/2.8 aperture, and a 12MP(f/2.2) 124-degree ultrawide angle lens.

The automatic variable aperture Telephoto lens is a unique additon to the Sony smartphone.

At the front, it has an 8MP(f/2.0) selfie camera.

Camera features – Real-time Eye AF (Human, Animal), Real-time tracking, 3D iToF, RGB-IR, Hybrid zoom 12.5x (based on Wide camera 24 mm), AI Super-Resolution Zoom, and High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo, and also has a 4K video recording support.

For an immersive audio experience, It has stereo speakers support and also has a 3.5mm earphone jack.

Furthermore, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity – WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C 3.1 port, and has a support of 5G network connectivity.

Lastly, the phone comes with a 4500mAH battery capacity that comes along with a 30 watts fast charging support.

Furthermore, it also has wireless charging and reverses charging support.

Note – Most specs of the Xperia 5 Mark III are similar to the Xperia 1 Mark III. So, we will discuss only key changes in the Xperia 5 Mark III.

The phone has a slightly smaller 6.1-inch OLED display that comes with an FHD+(2520*1080)pixels resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate.

  • 8GB RAM and 128GB storage support.
  • 8GB RAM and 256GB storage support.

Furthermore, it also supports expandable storage up to 1TB(use shared SIM slot).

The last difference is in the charging, it has the same 4500mAH battery and comes with the same 30 Watts fast charging support. But, it does not support wireless and reverse charging.

Sony Xperia 10 Mark III also debuted along with the above-mentioned two phones.

The Xperia 10 Mark III offers a 6.0 inch OLED display that comes with an FHD+(2520*1080)pixels resolution along with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 octa-core processor fabricated on an 8nm chipset along with an Adreno 619 GPU.

The device runs on the latest Android 11 operating system.

It comes in only 1 variant – with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage support along with expandable storage.

For photos and video, it has a triple rear camera setup including a 12MP(f/1.8) primary camera, an 8MP(f/2.2) 120-degree ultrawide angle lens, and an 8MP(f/2.4) telephoto lens.

Additionally, it has an 8MP(f/2.0) selfie camera.

Also, we have got a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and it even has a 3.5mm earphone jack.
