Key Specs and Details – F11 PRO
At the back, there is a 48 Megapixel sensor (likely the Samsung GM1) that is quite capable. Further, there is a secondary camera at the back (for depth sensing) with 5 MP resolution.
The primary rear camera has f/1.79 aperture size and ball-bearing closed-loop VCM, 6P lens, and 1/2.25-inch image sensors.
Unlike the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, which requires you to shift to Pro mode to click 48 MP images, Oppo is using a different approach.
In good lighting conditions camera can click 48 MP ultra HD images, and in the low light conditions, the camera works as a 12 MP sensor.
In the dim light, the camera combines 4 pixels to create a larger single pixel with 1.6μm size, to click better low light images.
At the front side, the pop-up selfie camera helps to reduce the bezels, as the top side becomes notch-less.
Moreover, it comes with a 90.9% screen to body ratio, making it ideal for multi-media consumption.
It has time-lapse, slow motion, beauty mode, AI scene detection, night sight, and saturation boost (Dazzle Color Mode) features.
There is a night sight like feature (Ultra Night Mode) to click better low light images.
Powering the phone is the 12 Nm Mediatek Helio P90 Processor, which comes with 2.1 GHz clock speed and has 8 Core architecture.
There is Mali G72 MP3 GPU to take care of gaming needs. The processor is as good as the Snapdragon 660 but is no match for the Snapdragon 675/710 or Snapdragon 845.
On Geekbench (Single Core -1550, Multi-Core 5890) as well as Antutu (1,34,000), it performs as good as the Snapdragon 660.
Selfie Camera, Display, Design and Battery Life
There is a pop-up selfie camera that works electronically and snaps out whenever you need to click a selfie. The front camera comes with a 16 Megapixel lens with f/1.79 aperture size.
The F11 Pro doesn’t come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, instead offers a scanner at the rear side.
The display is large (6.53 Inches) and comes with IPS LCD FHD+ with 2340*1080 pixels resolution. Oppo has not shared if it has Corning Gorilla Glass.
The company is also boasting about the new Color OS 6.0 and the Android Pie experience out of the box. Also, there is a hyper boost for improving the App load times.
Fueling the device is a 4000 mAH capacity battery that comes with a blazing fast VOOC 3.0 charging.
Also, it comes with a bundled 20 Watts charger in the box. Additionally, the company provides a back cover as well as headphones with the phone.
A good gesture.
Notably, the F11 Pro misses on the USB Type C port but comes with the Micro-USB.
The phone comes with a triple tone gradient back design in two color choices – Aurora Green and Thunder Black color.
Undoubtedly the design is stunning, and colors are a head-turner. But it is a shame we have to put a case on such gorgeous phones.
Oppo F11 – What are the differences Vs. F11 Pro
The second phone that company launched is the F11, which comes with a similar design but is available in Double Gradient colors (Fluorite Purple, Marble Green).
The phone lacks the Pop-Up selfie camera, instead comes with a standard waterdrop notch that houses a 16 MP lens. The rear cameras and processor is the same on both the devices.
It comes with 4020 mAH capacity battery (instead of 4000 mAH on F11 Pro) with VOOC 3.0 support.
Further, there is 4 GB Ram and has 64 GB of internal storage. Both F11 and F11 Pro offers hybrid- sim slot. The storage is expandable up to 256 GB.
The Oppo F11 costs Rs. 19,990 and will go on sale along with the Pro version online as well as offline.
Oppo F11 Pro – A lot in Common With Vivo V15 Pro
As we know, Vivo has launched the V15 PRO on 20th Feb with a 48 MP rear camera, a similar design and the 48 MP rear camera.
It even has a similar pop-up selfie camera and a no-notch design.
Both the devices have a plastic back design and look pretty similar.
However, the V15 Pro is more expensive and comes with an in-display scanner, Super Amoled Display, and a powerful SD 675 processor.
Previously the company launched V11 Pro, which was quite similar to the Oppo F9 Pro with cosmetic changes.
As we know, Oppo, Vivo, Oneplus are all part of BBK Electronics, and there is a lot of synergy between the companies.
Whenever any of these companies develop one of the features like waterdrop notch or in-display scanner or popup camera; others quickly replicate it.
Like Oppo, F9 Pro was the first to come with waterdrop notch and was later copied by V11 Pro and OnePlus 6T.
The Vivo Nex came with the pop-up camera, and now we will get it in the Oppo F11 Pro or maybe even in the upcoming OnePlus 7.

Which Is Better to purchase Oppo F9 or Oppo F9 Pro?
There is a significant price difference of Rs. 4000 between both the devices and the only benefit we are getting is just 2 GB ram. Which in real-world performance will not make much difference.
If I have to purchase, I will buy the F9 instead of the F9 Pro. It is also evident the company wants to make some quick bucks that is why they have launched the F9 Pro ahead of Oppo F9.
Competition and Other Choices in the 20K Price range?
You can consider these before purchasing the Oppo F9 or the Pro variant.
Note – I will order the Oppo F9 soon, and we will have a more detailed camera and performance benchmarks.
Other Oppo Phones Launched in India recently is the Oppo A3s and the Oppo Find X.
