Also, the company has launched the new fitness band along with the Realme 6 Series.

Realme 6 Pro Specs and Features
The Realme 6 Pro comes with some improvements in comparison to the Realme 5 Pro and offers some of the industry-first features in this price range.
Firstly, the Realme 6 Pro comes with a 90 Hz display to offer a smoother gaming/scroll experience to the buyers. The phone comes with a large 6.6 inch IPS LCD display and has FHD+ (2400*1090) pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio. Also, the screen is protected by the corning gorilla glass 5 and offers a good viewing experience.
It is a bit bulky and weighs 202 grams and measures 8.9 mm in thickness.
Since it is an LCD panel the under-display fingerprint scanner can’t be used so Realme is using a side fingerprint scanner that can unlock it in 0.29 seconds.
Similar to the flagship Realme X50 Pro 5G the Realme 6 Pro comes with a punch-hole display panel and has a dual selfie camera.
Powering the device is the latest 8 Nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G Octa-Core processor with a 2.05 GHz clock speed and comes with the Adreno 618 GPU.
Performance-wise it is equivalent to the MediaTek Helio G90T used in the Realme 6 or the Redmi Note 8 Pro. Also, we have go up to 8 GB of LPDDR4 Dual Channel memory to ensure superb performance in gaming and multi-tasking.
Aforementioned, it comes with 64 GB or 128 GB storage; you can even expand the storage using a dedicated micro-sd card slot.
The phone has got the latest Realme UI and also the fresh Android 10 offering the best experience.
For imaging, it comes with Quad-Rear Cameras:

The Rear cameras are decent on the Realme 6 Pro and offer a good mix of versatility as well as quality. The addition of a Zoom lens is a first in this price range. The camera can record up to 4K videos and also comes with a night mode, stabilization and portrait mode.
At the front, for selfies, we have got dual cameras with 16 MP Sony IMX 471 sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor for taking group selfies to fit in more people.
The phone has a 4300 mAH capacity battery that is sufficient to last all day and it even comes with a 30 Watts fast charger that can fuel it from 0-100% in just 60 minutes.
For connectivity, we have a Dual 4G VOLTE, USB Type C Port, WIFI, Bluetooth 5.1 and even the headphone jack. Lastly, there is support for Dolby Atmos on the 6 Pro to make it suitable for bass heads.
Let’s now look at the more affordable Realme 6 that comes with great specs for an even more affordable price.

The Realme 6 is available in three variants, as follows:
- 4 GB Ram and 64 GB storage – Price Rs. 12,999.
- 6 GB Ram and 64 GB storage – Price Rs. 14,999.
- 8 GB Ram and 128 GB storage – Price Rs. 15,999
The phone will go on sale on Flipkart starting 11 March 2020 at 12:00 pm. It will also go on sale on Realme.com and some of the retail stores.

Realme 6: Key Specs, Price, and Features
The Realme 6 is the successor to the Realme 5 and offers some serious upgrades.
The phone comes with a single punch-hole display and offers a similar 90Hz display as the Realme 6 Pro. The Realme 6 has a 6.5 Inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ (2400*1080) pixels resolution and most likely Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. (Realme has not shared the exact version unlike the CG5 for the Pro variant).
The phone measures 8.9 mm in thickness and has 191 grams of weight.
Powering the phone is the MediaTek Helio G90T Octa-Core processor with a clock speed of 2.3 GHz and there is up to 8 GB Dual Channel LPDDR4x ram.
The storage is expandable and you can use 2 sim cards and a micro-sd card simultaneously.
Further, the phone comes with a Quad-Rear camera setup but has a slightly different configuration in comparison to the Realme 6 PRO.
The Rear camera comes with 64 MP Primary Sensor, the secondary camera is an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. The phone has a 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro lens.

Realme 3 Pro Launched in India Price Starts Rs. 13,999
After much hype on the social media and drama on Youtube (Techbar’s Unethical Unboxing), finally, Realme 3 Pro is launched today in India.
The phone comes in two price variants – 4 GB Ram and 64 GB storage for Rs. 13,999 and 6 GB ram and 128 GB internal storage available for Rs. 16,999.
The phone comes in three stunning colors – black, blue and purple. The blue color variant is the most gorgeous of all and will sell like hotcakes.
The phone will be going on sale starting 29th April on Flipkart at noon12:00 pm. The purple color version will go on sale in May while the other two variants will be available from 29th (Monday).
You can get Rs. 1000 discount on purchase using the HDFC credit or debit card, I will also try to get the review unit in the first sale for an in-depth comparison with other phones I have.
Also, the brand has launched the Realme C2, price Rs. 6000 for entry segment.
The Realme 3 Pro is one of the most anticipated phones in the sub 15k segment, and frankly, it packs a ton of features and specs to take the crown of the top phone in this range. The only true rival is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 10 Nm Processor
- Super VOOC Charging 20 Watts Charger in Box
- 16+5 MP Dual Rear Cameras
- 25 Megapixel Front Selfie Camera
- Dedicated Micro-sd card slot
- Color OS 6.0 and Android Pie 9.0
Specs and Best Features
Design and Display
The Realme 3 Pro is a head-turner provided you don’t spoil the looks with a case. It comes with a polycarbonate back panel which is glossy and fingerprint magnet.
It comes with a unique Le-mans inspired Speedway pattern at the backside which enhances the looks of the dual-tone back cover.
The phone is not very thick, measures 8.3 mm and weighs 172 grams.
The RM3 Pro comes with a 6.3 inch Full HD+ display (2340*1080) pixels with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
OS & other Traits
The Realme 3 Pro comes with the Color OS 6.0 and the latest Android Pie 9.0 out of the box.
While the Color OS has plenty of options, it is not as vanilla or fluid as the stock Android.
The significant advantage of Color OS is tons of customizations and features that you have over the stock Android.
Also, it is Ads free unlike the MIUI 10 on the RN7 Pro.
Powering the device is the incredible Snapdragon 710 Octa-Core Processor with a clock speed of 2.2 GHz.
There is Adreno 616 GPU which is better than the 612 GPU on the RN7 Pro. Benchmark Score Antutu is close to 1.5 lakh which is lower than the 1.8 lakhs of RN7 Pro.
However, the GPU score is higher which means that you will have a slight edge when gaming on the Snapdragon 710.
Another difference is the manufacturing process, and the SD 710 uses the 10 Nm process while the SD 675 (RN7 Pro) uses the 11 Nm manufacturing process.
Apart from playing PUBG, you can also play Fortnite on the Realme 3 Pro which is currently not possible on the SD 675 based RN7 Pro.
For photography, it comes with a Dual 16+5 Megapixel camera set up at the back.
The primary 16 MP camera uses the Sony IMX519 flagship image sensor (also used in Oneplus 6T) and offers a considerable amount of details and dynamic range in images.
It has 1.22-micron pixel size and has an f/1.7 aperture to capture good images in low or artificial light conditions.
Also, it has Dual Pixel Fast Focus, Nightscape, Ultra HD (64 MP Mode), Chroma Boost, Pro Mode and Portrait Mode.
The rear camera can record upto 4K videos at 30 FPS and also has 960 FPS slow motion support.
There is EIS for 1080P videos, and you can even create hyper-lapse using the camera.
The camera App has tons of features that we have also seen on the Realme 2 Pro.
For selfies, it comes with a 25 Megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and large 1.8-micron pixel size.
Also, the front camera offers AI Beauty mode, HDR and Face recognition.
Battery Life and Fast Charging
The phone comes with a massive 4045 mAH capacity battery which can easily last all day on mixed or heavy usage.
The cherry on the cake is 5V and 4A (20 Watts) Fast charger (micro-USB) that comes bundled with the phone. It can charge the device up to 50% in about 30 minutes. Impressive!
Aforementioned there is a dedicated micro-sd card slot that is missing on many rival phones. Also, we get Bluetooth 5.0, 5GHz WIFI support and Dual 4G VOLTE support.
Also, the phone has 4/6 GB of DDR4 Ram and 64/128 GB of internal storage space, expandable upto 256 GB.
The Realme 3 Pro is a fantastic phone and builds upon the success of Realme 2 Pro. There is nearly everything fans can ask for in the new Realme phone and that too at an affordable price tag.
A couple of nit pickings- it lacks the USB Type C Port but does come with super-fast VOOC charging, and you are not going to find any possible disadvantage of not having the Type C on this device.
The build is poly-carbonate and is prone to micro-scratches and fingerprint marks. Most mid-range phones are polyplastic these days, and the benefit is that these don’t get hot quickly.
Should You Buy the Realme 3 Pro or the Redmi Note 7 Pro?
I am coming to the tough question – which phone should you buy Realme 3 Pro or the RN7 Pro. The Note 7 Pro has a better glass design and in-hand feel and even comes with a USB type C port.
However, the MIUI is plagued with Ads, and the phone also doesn’t come with a fast charger in the box. You can buy a fast charger separately, but that’s a bummer.
The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a slightly better rear camera. However, the front camera on the Realme 3 Pro is definitely better.
It is a tough choice no matter how we see it, both phones are best in class and you are not making a wrong choice picking either one of these.
Now you know the differences, go ahead and get what your heart truly desires without worrying much.
Realme 3 India Launch – Helio P70, Dual Rear Cameras, Price Rs. 8,999
Update 12/Mar/2019 – Realme 3 is going on sale today at 12:00 pm on Flipkart. You can get Rs. 500 discount on the purchase when using HDFC Debit or Credit card.
Realme sold 210000 units of Realme 3 in the first sale and according to CEO Mr. Madhav Seth, it is a very big achievement for the brand. We checked after a couple of minutes of sales starting, and it was still in stock unlike some of the Redmi series phones.
Read below to find out if you should buy it or not.
4th March 2019 – Realme has today launched the new Realme 3 smartphone in India. The phone will go on sale on Flipkart starting 12th March at 12:00 pm. The Realme 3 is not the successor to the Realme 2 Pro but is the successor to the more affordable Realme 2.
It is launched with a new Dual tone poly-carbonate design with a waterdrop notch and dual rear cameras. It is available in three color options – blue-black, purple-black, and deep black.
Further, the phone comes in two storage/ram variants:
- 32 GB Storage and 3 GB of Ram – Price Rs. 8,999
- 64 GB Storage and 4 GB Ram – Price Rs. 10,990.
The phone is showcased in a transparent case which costs a whopping Rs. 599. The accessories are a real money spinner for many Chinese brands such as Oppo and Xiaomi. They don’t make too much money from the phones but from the sale of accessories.
Let’s have a quick look at the specs and features and how it compares with the rival Redmi Note 7 and the Samsung M20.
Realme 3 – 13MP + 5MP Dual Cameras
The Reame 3 comes with Dual rear cameras with 13 MP + 5 MP cameras. The camera comes with an f/1.8 aperture and also has AI mode to increase the saturation (Chroma Boost), Nightscape, and portrait mode.
The phone has 90 FPS slow motion support and can record videos upto 1080P. There is no 4K video recording support or EIS which is a bummer.
For selfies, it comes with a 13 Megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Also, Realme has shared that the phone comes with Camera2API support out of the box, so you can install the Google Camera App.
The Realme 3 comes with the Helio P70 processor, this is the second phone from the brand to use the P70. The first one was the Realme U1.
The processor is about 13% faster in comparison to the Helio P60 used in the Realme 1.
There is Mali G72 MP3 GPU which is incredibly fast and is capable of playing games like PUBG or Asphalt 9 with ease.
Further, there are reports stating that a global version of the device can launch with Helio P60 but Indian version will have the P70.
The benchmark performance for the Helio P70 is equivalent to the Snapdragon 660 (used in Redmi Note 7). However, in gaming or real-world usage, the SD 660 and Adreno 612 are very slightly better.
Aforementioned, the phone comes with either 3 GB /4 GB ram with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage. There is a dedicated micro-sd card slot to use the Dual sim and the micro-sd card simultaneously.
The phone runs on the new Color OS 6.0 along with the Android Pie OS. The new Color OS is more refined and comes with a new riding mode and stock Android looks.
Realme is adapting and listening to Indian fans. Good Move, Realme !!!
Please check the detailed comparison table below for the Antutu and Greek benchmark Scores for Realme 3 and Redmi Note 7.
Display and Design
Further, the phone comes with a large 6.2 Inch Display with HD+ (1520 by 720, 19:9) resolution and a waterdrop notch. The display is a downgrade in comparison to the rival Redmi Note 7 which offers a better Full HD+ display.
The design looks stunning and the phone comes with a dual-tone back cover made from plastic. The dual-tone designs look better compared to the vanilla variants on devices like Samsung M20/M30.
Lastly, the display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Also, the new Realme 3 comes with a 4230 mAH capacity battery that is slightly more than the 4000 mAH battery on the rival Redmi Note 7. The phone comes with 10 Watts charger in the box.
Sadly, the Realme 3 comes with a micro-USB port for charging instead of the latest USB Type C.
Moreover, Realme has recently dropped the price for the Realme U1 and the Realme 2 Pro in India and can be bought at a discount.
Also, I recently reviewed the Realme 2 Pro and let me tell you it was one of the most impressive phones in the sub 15k price range. A couple of stand out features were there like the Waterdrop Notch and the Snapdragon 660.
Overall the Realme 2 Pro is really impressive and I am expecting the same from the Realme 3.

RealMe 1 – launch, Specs, Price OS Updates and Features
Realme 1 Will Not Recieve the Color OS 7 and Android 10 Update
Update – 2-12-2019
Realme has confirmed on Twitter in a support thread that the Realme 1 will not receive the latest Color OS 7.0 update along with the Android 10.
Further, the Realme India Support said that they offer 2 years of software updates on all smartphones. But they will not give the COLOR OS7 and Android 10 Update to the Realme 1.
Also, Realme CEO, Mr. Madhav Seth has confirmed that they are not offering COLOR OS7 update on the Realme 1 and Realme 2 phones.
HAPPY UPDATE! Sharing timeline for realme’s own customised UI based on ColorOS 7 & Android 10!

— Madhav ‘Super50w’ (@MadhavSheth1) November 25, 2019
Notably, Realme 1 was launched in June 2018 and the company is not providing a major update to a phone that is less than 18 months old and at the same time saying they offer 2 year OS updates.
This seems absurd as the Realme 1 is a capable phone and has the hardware to easily run the latest Android version.
Further, the company is also not providing the COLOR OS7, Android 10 update for the Realme U1 and the Realme 2 which is strange considering these devices were released a year back.
Realme 1 Getting Color OS 5.2 Update in India
Update – 1-12-2018 – Oppo’s Realme 1 is finally getting the Color OS 5.2 update in India starting 3rd December 2018 as shared by the company in a post on the Realme user forum.
The new update doesn’t bring the Android Pie update but runs on the Android Oreo 8.1.
However, there are several positive changes such as One Swipe dismissal of notifications, Headset icon in status bar, status bar not flashing in case developer options are enabled and new icons.
Update – 05-August-2018 – The phone is out of stock for the 3 GB version for many days now on Amazon.in. However, you can buy the 4 GB version or the 6 GB version of the Realme 1 which is in stock on the e-commerce website. It is exclusive to Amazon India so not available on Flipkart or retail stores.
Also, we may see RealMe 2 PRO launch soon maybe in late September 2018.
Update 30th July 2018 – Oppo is separating the RealME brand just like the OnePlus. The new brand will be headed by Sky Li who is now named as Founder and Global CEO of the company.
Similar to the OnePlus story the company has decided to have a budget mobile brand to target the rivals. Notably, the OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo and the Realme belong to the same parent company BBK electronics.
These are separate brands created by the company to offer different products to users with different value propositions.
Check Out Here what the Founder Sky Li has to say about the new Realme brand.
We can expect many more phones from the brand in the coming months. Realme so far has launched only the RealME 1 phone in India, you can check the details and read the review here.

Oppo RealME 1 Unboxing Camera Samples and Experience
Notably, the Oppo Real Me 1 is launched on Amazon India exclusively and will take on the top-selling Redmi Note 5 Pro and the new heartthrob Asus Zenfone Max PRO M1. Amazon listing suggests the Rs. 8,999 model and 13,999 model will go on sale intially, whereas the Rs. 10,999 model will be on the offering probably later.
We were expecting that it will launch in the price range of Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 15,000 for the 6GB ram version and Rs. 14,000 looks exciting.
Also, the RealMe is a new sub-brand from Oppo that will launch more such devices online in future, to take on Xiaomi.
Key Specs and Details Oppo RealMe 1
Let’s Talk Performance
First and foremost, it is a phone that comes with a focus on performance, and Oppo is using the same chipset (Helio P60) they have used in the Oppo F7. The Helio P60 or the MediaTek MT6771 is one of the most powerful processors launched by MediaTek in the recent months.
The Octa-Core processor uses the 12 Nm manufacturing process that is superior to the 14 Nm process used in the Snapdragon 636 (Powering RN 5 Pro and Zenfone Max M1 Pro). Also, the processor comes with a dedicated Image signal processor for faster processing of images.
Besides, it uses the Mediatek CorePilot 4.0 technology that offers sustained performance with higher power efficiency which is quite handy when playing games.
There is ARM Mali G72 MP3 GPU with a maximum clock speed of 800 MHz. Further, the P60 uses big.Little architecture with four Cortex A73 cores with a clock speed of 2.0 GHz and even has 4 Cortex A53 cores with a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz.
It is worth mentioning; the Helio P60 offers a 70% performance boost and 12% more power saving in comparison to the Helio P23 (used in Vivo V7).
Another noteworthy feature of Helio P60 is the presence of Multi-Core AI processing unit that improves its performance for AI-related tasks.
Oppo is claiming that the new AI-guided processor keeps the phone much cooler in comparison to other phones.
Let’s talk about the benchmark scores and how it obliterates other phones.
Benchmark Scores – Oppo RealMe 1 Vs RN5 PRO
The RealMe 1 scores 139,432 on the Antutu benchmark which is significantly higher in comparison to the 1,14,138 (SD 636) of RN5 Pro or the Zenfone Max Pro M1.
The Zenfone Max Pro M1 Scores 1331 on the Single Core Test and 4824 on the multi-core test that is significantly lower in comparison to the RealMe 1.
Also, the RealMe 1 comes with an insane 128 GB internal storage and 6 GB ram. These are unheard specs in this price range, and if the pricing prediction becomes true, then it can be an ultimate performance phone by the Oppo sub-brand.
The only phone to have 6 GB ram in the Sub 15k price is the Coolpad Coolplay 6, that came with a poor display.
Design & Display
The phone comes with a striking diamond-cut back cover that looks refreshingly different in-comparison to most other phones in this range. Also, the back cover is perfectly smooth to touch. Moreover, it is only the textured look that makes it reflect light and appear as a diamond-cut design.
Furthermore, it has an aluminum unibody and also feels a bit heavy. The phone has a thickness of 7.8 mm and weighs 155 grams which is not too high considering the large battery size.
Catching up with the modern trend, the RealMe 1 comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 6.0 Inch Full HD+ (2160*1080) pixels display that offers an enjoyable viewing experience.
Egregiously, it misses on the voguish Dual camera setup and comes with a single 13-megapixel camera at the back, and has an 8 Megapixel front selfie camera.
The front camera is capable of clicking selfies in the portrait mode, and the rear camera comes with PDAF. However, it comes with the AI camera that allows you to click images with the Bokeh mode using the software features and AI image manipulation.
OS and User Experience
The phone boots with the latest Android Oreo 8.1 OS and has the Oppo Color OS 5.1 skin on top.
It is a heavily customized OS skin and comes without an App drawer and has unique features like cloning for running dual social media apps.
A Big Miss
Notably, the phone comes with the Face Unlocking technology but doesn’t have the fingerprint scanner which is surprising as most phones above 8k offer this feature.
To recall, Oppo A83 also doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner and follows the iPhone X ideology.
It houses a significantly large 3410 maH capacity battery that charges using the micro-USB port. However, it smaller in comparison to the 5000 mAH capacity battery on the Zenfone Max M1 Pro.
The phone includes the standard connectivity options such as WIFI, 4G VOLTE, Dual Sim Support and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Additionally, there is a triple-slot design that allows you to use 2 sim cards as well as a micro-sd card simultaneously.
Undoubtedly, the presence of Helio P60, 6 GB ram and the 128 GB storage on this phone makes it special and a performance beast.
But it compromises on a couple of things such as a great camera setup (lacks the dual cameras) and a missing fingerprint scanner. The price looks very aggressive for all the three versions and surely it will offer competing phones a good run for their money.
Let’s sum-up the discussion by looking at the Pros and Cons.
- Fast Processor – Helio P60
- 6 GB RAM
- 128 GB Storage
- Android Oreo 8.1
- 3410 mAH capacity battery
- FHD+ Display With 6 Inch Screen
- Lacks Fingerprint Scanner
- Lacks Dual Camera
- OS is heavily modded.
