Lava A79 Looks Similar to Google Nexus 6P
Lava has today launched a new smartphone named as Lava A79 priced at Rs. 5599. It is a budget smartphone but comes with an uncanny resemblance to the Google Nexus 6P, at least from the back side.
The smartphone sports a similar hard glass strip at the back. It is not there to accommodate the rear camera or the flash. It is just there. The camera and the Lens are located below the black strip.
On the Google the Nexus 6P the back strip accommodates the camera and the flash. The smartphone will be available in Gold and Grey colors.
In all fairness, the resemblance and linkage between the two ends there. The Lava A79 comes with a rather large display which is uncommon in this price range, it has a 5.5-inch screen with 800*480 resolution and comes with egregiously low 169 PPI. The display is not an IPS LCD but a TFT screen.
The smartphone is powered by Quad-Core (unspecified) processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and comes with 1 GB of RAM.
The Lava A79 has a 5 Megapixel front camera which comes with LED flash and autofocus. The smartphone also has a front selfies camera with 2 MP resolution and surprisingly comes with a front-facing flash too.
Further, it has 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 32 GB using a micro-sd card.
The mobile runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and has Dual Sim Support. It misses on the 4G LTE or VOLTE support have the 3G and 2G support.
Also, it comes with 2200 mAH battery capacity which may not be sufficient to run it all day.
Additionally, the smartphone comes with some of the features like swipe to change music track on the lock screen, full screenshot for the Facebook feed to name a few.
Overall it has the basic configuration that we expect in smartphones in range of Rs. 5,000 with a rather large display.
