Lava International is still taking the fight to the Chinese rivals with new offerings. The company has launched the new Lava Agni 5G to compete in the mid-range segment.
Notably, it is the first 5G smartphone from the Indian brand and is also made in India. The smartphone comes with a massive 6.78-inch Full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Also, the front side has a hole-punch design.
Powering the device is the new Octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor that we have also seen on the recently launched Poco M4 Pro 5G. The processor is based on a 6 Nm manufacturing process and comes with a max clock speed of 2.4 GHz and has ARM Mali-G57 GPU. Lava has launched the smartphone in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128 GB storage.
The smartphone boots the latest Android 11 Os from Google. For Photography, the smartphone comes with a 64 MP primary lens with an f/1.79 aperture.
There are three more cameras – a 5 MP wide-angle, 2 MP depth sensor, and 2 MP macro shooter.
Barring the main 64 MP camera, other cameras are just marketing gimmicks and it would have been better to offer one more decent ultra-wide camera than to add 3 useless lenses.
The company has also added the AI Mode, Super Night, and a Pro Mode. Furthermore, it comes with Dual 5G support and also has the modern USB Type-C port.
Since the smartphone lacks an AMOLED panel and comes with an IPS LCD panel, Lava has integrated a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The phone has a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging and can charge from 0-100 in 90 minutes.
The Lava Agni 5G will go on sale starting 18th November and will be available for purchase online as well as offline.
The company is offering a Rs. 2000 discount on early purchases reducing the price from Rs. 19,990 to Rs. 17,990.
