Key Specs and Details – Lava X28

Let’s talk about the key specs and features for the new phone.

The Lava X28 comes with a polycarbonate build and has a neat design with a large speaker grill at the back of the device.

The disadvantage of having a rear speaker grill is when the phone is placed on a flat surface the speaker sound is muffled.

Further, the phone has a 5.5-inch display and offers HD resolution (1280*720) pixel with 267 PPI.

Notably, the X28 is powered by the Quad-Core processor (unspecified) clocked at 1.3 GHz and comes with 1 GB of RAM.

The ram seems to be low considering most smartphone manufacturers have started offering 2 GB ram in 7K to 8K price range.

Besides, the storage is also just 8 GB that can be further expanded to 32 GB using a micro-sd card.

For photography, the phone has an 8 Megapixel rear camera which comes with auto-focus and led flash. Additionally, it has a 2 Megapixel front camera that is just functional to click selfies and do video chat.

The Lava X28 comes with a passable 2600 mAH capacity battery with 14 hours of talk-time on 3G and up to 16 hours of talk time on 2G.

At best, the X28 can run a full day with low to medium usage considering the 5.5-inch display size.

Lava X28 Launch Offers and Design

Furthermore, it offers other standard connectivity options like micro-USB,  3G, 2G, WIFI, and Bluetooth.

It is not very sleek, the X28 measures 8.9 mm in thickness and weighs 175 grams.

The weight and thickness seem to be on the higher side considering the screen size and the low capacity battery.

Also, Lava is offering a one-time free screen replacement with X28 if you happen to break it accidentally in 365 days.

Notably, this offer is applicable for smartphones purchased between September 15th and November 15th.

To sum it up, the phone looks decent with a large display and Android Marshmallow. It would have been better if Lava had included 2 GB RAM.
