Le 1S to Face Tough Competition from Xiaomi Note 3 and K4 Note

Le 1S is the new mid range smartphone which is going to launch in India on 20 Jan 2016 by the Chinese company LeTv.

The Chinese Technology Conglomerate Letv is ready to invade Indian smartphone arena with smartphones and other gadgets.

Le 1S to Face Tough Competition from Xiaomi Note 3 and K4 Note

A few days back company confirmed that they will debut Letv Max and Le 1S mobiles.

The company’s other gadgets like 3D helmet, Bluetooth headphones and smart cycle are also going to be part of India launch.

At CES 2016, Qualcomm’s announcement of Le MAX Pro as the first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 820, created a lot of hype for the brand in US and Europe.

The company sent invites for its launch event on 20th of this month, and also confirmed on its Facebook page, about the launch of Le 1S and Le Max.

Le Max have beaten the sales figures of Apple and Samsung’s high end models in China in 2015.

In India, the Le Max is expected to come with an aggressive pricing for a thunderous entry. But major action will come at the mid range where the Le 1S will compete with current Xiaomi and Lenovo new offerings.

Lenovo K4 Note is set to launch on 19 Jan 2016 with exceptional specs and really affordable price. The smartphone offers lots of features like Fingerprint scanner, NFC and Dolby sound beyond the excellent performance and decent camera.

Last week Xiaomi surprised everyone with the announcement, that they will be bringing the Xiaomi Note 3 to India. No dates or price information is shared. But we expect it to happen soon; they won’t let Lenovo or Letv take away the market share for smartphones priced 10k to 15k.

Xiaomi Note 3 is a monster of a smartphone with Mediatek Helio X10 processor and 3 GB RAM something it shares with the Le 1S.

It is going to be tough battle and pricing will decide the winner in a price conscious market like ours. Buyers are also going to be equally puzzled by all the great choices they have now in this range.

We have not seen better smartphones with these many features and higher end specs with so low price tag.

Lets have a look into what each of these models offer as far as the specs goes.

While the price for the K4 Note is known the other two prices are tentative, if Xiaomi and Letv manages to launch at 12K to 13k, suddenly the Lenovo K4 Note will not be as attractive as these two, the Helio X10 and the Snapdragon 650 having much more muscle than the MTK 6753.

Update 20 Jan 2016 – Letv has launched the LE 1S is launched in India at Rs. 10,999 on Flipkart, beating our expectation of a  higher price.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 scored an impressive 75,000 score on Antutu, that is very close to the flagship Snapdragon 810 processor.

LeTv is also getting the large phablet Le Max and we think it will be close to 20K price which can make it the cheapest Snapdragon 810 , 2K display smartphone in India.

It will pitched against the top seller One Plus 2 and the Yutopia by Indian brand Yu.

Le Max

The Le Max qualifies as a phablet featuring a 6.3-inch display and runs on 64 Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

The phone’s look are also pleasing enough not to call it a Chinese handset – really good build quality. The display is QHD (2560*1440 pixels) and comes with the best possible screen to body ratio.

It has 4 GB Ram and comes with 64 GB internal storage.

It doesn’t have a micro SD slot which is not an issue as there is already plenty of storage.

The OS is Android lollipop skinned with EUI (Eco UI).

The rear camera is 21 Megapixel supported with a dual-tone Flash.

The battery is decent but not very large comes with 3400 milliAmp hour capacity.

Other notable features are a rear fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, NFC and LTE support in India.

So which one do you think is an ideal device share with me in comments.
