LeEco has launched the new flagship smartphone in the Chinese market – the LE 3 PRO. There were solid rumors that LeEco can step into the future and launch an 8 GB RAM mobile at today’s event.
Somehow LeEco stopped itself and stayed content with just 6 GB Ram. To compensate, they bundled the futuristic CDLA earphones that with the new LE 3 Pro.
LeEco LE 3 PRO
Notably, the latest iPhone 7 ditched the 3.5 mm headphone jack, and even LeEco ditched it back in June 2016 with the launch of LE 2 and LE Max 2.
Furthermore, Apple uses the lighting port for charging the iPhone 7 and for music. The LE 3 PRO uses the USB Type C reversible port combined with CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology for music and charging the device.
Also, it ships with an adapter and offers 24 Bit Audio with Dolby surround sound.
LeEco has launched 4 variants of the LE 3 PRO
- LeEco Le 3 Pro with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage Priced at CNY 1799 (Rs. 18,200).
- LeEco Le 3 Pro with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage Priced at CNY 1999 (Rs. 20300).
Apart from the above 2 models, the company has introduced 2 more models that are known as the Zhang Yimou editions. Zhang Yimou editions configs are :
- LeEco Le 3 Pro with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage Priced at CNY 2499 (Rs. 25200).
- LeEco Le 3 Pro with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage Priced at CNY 2999 (Rs. 30300).

Powering the phone is the latest flagship processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35 GHz. The processor comes along with the Adreno 530 GPU and is alleged to be 10% faster in comparison to the Snapdragon 820 used in several flagship smartphones this year.
There are no sweeping changes as far as the design is concerned. The smartphone comes with rubbed metallic finish with faint antenna lines at the back along with a LeEco logo.
For media consumption, we have a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution and there is also a 2.5 D curve glass coating to make the touch more premium. Also, the display has 401 PPI and comes with in-cell touch technology.
For photography, we have a 16-megapixel rear camera, with f/2.0 aperture and HDR mode. It can even record 4K videos and slow-motion footage at 120 fps. Moreover, the Le 3 Pro comes with 8 Megapixel front camera which offers f/2.2 aperture and has a 76-degree wide angle.
Furthermore, it comes with a large battery with 4070 mAH capacity to last all day with medium to heavy usage. Also, you can rapidly charge the phone with the fast charging support.
Connectivity & OS
The mobile support 4G LTE as well as VOLTE. There is a USB Type C reversible port for connectivity and data transfer.
What’s more, the mobile has NFC support for Android payments. It runs on the Android Marshmallow 6.0 OS along with the EUI 5.8 custom ROM.
The Dual Sim mobile measure 7.5 mm in thickness and weighs 175 grams, which seems to be heavy for a 5.5-inch device.
Lastly, the phone will be available in Gold, Grey and Silver color variants and availability and launch details in India are unknown yet.
Overall it looks like feature packed and specs guzzling as any other LeEco smartphone. It will attract value for money flagship buyers and people looking for great performance on a budget.
