Firstly, LeEco is planning to come with its own AI-based assistant to compete with the rivals such as HTC Sense Companion, Samsung Bixby, etc. However, nothing regarding the assistant has surfaced online, and we’re still unsure on whether LeEco will launch it or not.
The below teaser image was shared by LeEco and it confirms about the new AI assistant which will come with the LeEeco LE Max 3. Things are getting complicated with AI assistants, with Google and Apple already dominating the space and Samsung, Huawei and HTC are developing their own indicates that OEM’s want to step away from relying on Google for everything.
While it is difficult to build something like Android and have the whole developer eco-system for it. Samsung has failed in the past with Tizen. It is a long shot by OEM’s to come with differentiting factor to counter Google.
Notably Google initially gave access to Google Assistant to the pixel phones which may have rasied some concerns and possible hoard to develop in house.
However, the implementation of dual camera setup is still unknown. LeEco might go with one monochrome sensor and one standard sensor.
The phone will boot Android Nougat out-of-the-box and will come preloaded with Google Assistant.
The LeEco Le Max 3 will feature a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. So, LeEco is still not looking at the Snapdragon 835 chipset.
The phone will feature a USB Type-C port and will miss the services of 3.5mm headphone jack as LeEco believes that the standard audio jack technology has now become an old fashioned one.
All said, LeEco will launch the phone tomorrow, and it will surely be priced tad higher due to the company’s woes.
