LeEco is moving into future too fast are we ready ? LeEco the Chinese tech giant unveiled the two new mid-range smartphones LE 2 and LE 2 Pro with 10 Cores processors, last month at an event in Beijing, China on 21st April 2016.
Now they have sent Media invites for an event on June 8 and we may see the launch of new smartphones in India too. Though LeEco has yet not shared what exact models they would be launching at the event.
They also launched the Le Max 2 which is a flagship smartphone. LeEco recently invested in the Aston Martin’s electric cars to get more into future.
At the event LeEco CEO Jia Yueting was quite excited about the launch of the 3 new smartphones and see it as a big innovative step. And I am also super excited at the prospect of these getting launched in India.
The recently launched the LE 1S ECO variant in India at an aggressive price of Rs. 9,999.
LeEco is becoming more futuristic and they yesterday have beaten Apple with the world’s first USB Type C smartphones, which don’t come with the normal 3.5 mm jack. It was earlier rumored that Apple will use the USB Type-C port and will kill the headphone jack in the upcoming iPhone 7.
This helps in making the design more sleek and thin but at the same time makes it impossible to enjoy music and charge the smartphone at the same time.
If you are worried that you don’t have a USB Type C earphone or headphone, don’t be, LeEco has launched 2 new earphones with USB Type C connection. Prior to these, there is very few USB type C headphones available in the market , and two major brands making them are HTC and JBL.
I told you they are getting into the future too fast, and we will need these futuristic earphones to use with all the three smartphones LeEco launched.
My other big worry is when everything is done first by Chinese companies, than what Apple is going to showcase as groundbreaking in the new iPhone 7.
We now have USB Type C Earphones, Dual Camera setup in Huawei P9, 2K OLED edge display in Samsung S7 edge; it is going to be tough for Cupertino Tech behemoth, at least for this year.
Affordable smartphones are getting this good, you ought to be a power user or an enthusiast, with money to spend a boatload on a flagship smartphone.
The smartphones come with a metallic build with a square fingerprint scanner with curved edges at the back of the device.
The design is not much different when compared to the LE 1S or the Le Max. The gray Antenna lines are visible at the back of the device much like the HTC 10 and camera bump is also visible even though you try to ignore it.
LE 2 and the LE 2 pro are the more affordable choices priced at 1099 Yuan (Rs. 11,500) and 1499 (Rs. 15,500) Yuan respectively. The smartphones come with 5.5 inches display and Full HD (1920*1080) resolution with 401 PPI.
The LE 2 is powered by the Mediatek Helio X20 , 10 Core , tri-cluster processor while the LE 2 Pro comes with the more powerful X25 variant. The smartphone comes with an abundant amount of Ram, the LE 2 has 3 GB of Ram while the Pro version has 4 GB RAM.
The smartphones offer great performance for the incredibly low price.
Both the smartphones come with generous 3000 mAH battery capacity and can last all day with a decent amount of usage.
Both the smartphones come with an 8 Megapixel front selfies camera. The rear camera on the LE 2 has a 16 MP lens and the LE 2 Pro sports a 21 Megapixel Sony IMX230 lens to take gorgeous images.
The smartphones come with 32 GB of inbuilt storage much like the LE 1S.
The Le Max 2 also have a similar design when compared to the LE 2 and LE 2 pro with a larger 5.7 inches, Quad HD Display (2560*1440) resolution.
The Le Max 2 comes with the Qualcomm’s flagship processor Snapdragon 820 which is also used in the HTC 10 and Samsung S7.
The other highlight for the smartphone is incredible 6 GB Ram. There are very few smartphones which can boast of 6 GB RAM like the Meizu Pro 6 , upcoming Note 6 , Vivo XPlay 5.
The Le Max 2 comes with similar camera setup as the LE Pro 2, and it also has the optical image stabilization feature for the rear 21 MP camera to offer better image clarity.
The LE Max 2 comes with 64 GB of onboard storage and it is priced at $390 or Rs. 26,000. Watch Out Xiaomi and Lenovo, Future has come early !
