Taking copying and cloning to a new level. Lenovo woke up to the challenge that Xiaomi has thrown at it and the largest laptop manufacturer in the world has responded with vigor.
Xiaomi has launched the first ever laptop from the company named as Mi NoteBook Air a clone of the original Macbook Air this week in China. Lenovo too launched a similar laptop in retribution, yesterday in China.
There is a lot of buzz in the Chinese market for the new Xiaomi laptop as it offers decent specs & user experience, yet being much more affordable compared to the Macbook Air.
Lenovo Air Pro 13.3 inch laptop comes with similar specs and price when compared to Xiaomi Mi Notebook. It is priced at CNY 4999 (Rs. 50,000) in the Chinese market similar to the Mi Note Book Air. The Lenovo Air Pro 13.3 inch comes with IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution.
Lenovo Air Pro is powered by the Intel 6th Gen (Skylake) Core i5 Processor 6200U similar to the Mi Notebook. The laptop comes with 4 GB of Ram instead of the 8 GB found on the Mi Notebook Air.
The Lenovo Air Pro has a thickness 1.48 cm (thinner than the Macbook Air of and weighs 1.29 kg , while the Xiaomi Mi NoteBook Air has 1.28 KG weight.
The Lenovo Air Pro has 256 GB SSD and offers blazing fast data transfer and general tasks performance. The Laptop comes with the Nvidia GTX 940M dedicated Graphics card with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM. The graphics card used is also similar to the Mi NoteBook Air.
One distinguishing feature that Lenovo has added is the fingerprint scanner to the laptop which is missing on the Mi NoteBook Air or the original Macbook Air. Lastly Lenovo has said they will raise the price by Rs. 5,000 once the pre-registration closes for the Lenovo Air Pro.
