Front Camera Review – Sample Shots ( Lenovo K4 Note)
Coming to the front camera it is a 5 Mega Pixel shooter and comes with fixed focus, there is no front facing flash on the K4 Note.
Here is a sample image I clicked with the K4 Note front(selfie) camera and the camera didn’t disappoint either. The image is detailed and have the subject captured well even in the artificial light which most 5 MP camera’s fail to do.
Obviously the rear camera shot looks more detailed and capture the subject really well. The front camera is also decent when used in well lit conditions and for closed shot the results are good.

Sound & Call Quality Review and You Tube Videos Playback
I really liked the Dual Firing front speakers and the Dolby Audio is just not a gimmick they actually perform really well. Watching You tube videos on HD or Full HD resolution is a delight on the large 5.5 inch display and the sound is equally impressive for the Lenovo K4 Note.
Here is a video review of the Sound Quality of the Smartphone.
There are no earphones/headphones which are supplied with the Lenovo K4 Note . I tested my Sennheiser headphones with the Lenovo K4 Note, the sound quality is at par with the Google Nexus 5X and other high end smartphones.
The Lenovo K4 Note comes with the Wofson 8284 Audio Hub technology which improves the sound clarity of the device.
Apps and OS
The Lenovo K4 Note runs on the Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system, along with the Lenovo Vibe UI. The UI is smooth and there are really good themes available for you to customize the look of icons and display of the smartphone.
The default theme is really nice and dark named as the Hot Move, while other themes like the Mirage and the Less is more are also quite great.
The smartphone comes with a lot of pre-loaded Apps some of which are useful and others are just bloat by Lenovo. To name a few Apps the K4 Note has share it, ever note , Google drive, Facebook , UC browser, Mcfee security , Shazam, we chat, Guevera music, Skype and true caller.
User Experience / User Interface
The smartphone is fast and fluid, no lag what so ever. The lenovo UI is stable and comes with decent themes and is not too much different to the stock android lollipop. I would say experience is good and there are lot of options in the notification bar some of which are absent in the pure android experience in Nexus devices.
Quick Data Connection access and switching on Dolby and enabling the power saver mode lets you do things faster and easily.
Fingerprint Scanner Review for K4 Note
The finger print scanner is mounted at the back and the limited time we spent with this feature was a good experience. No issues in unlocking the device once it is set. The fingerprint scanner just takes a minute to setup the profile and is very responsive to use.
Bench Mark Review (Antutu)
Antutu Score – 38706 , We tested it twice to check the Antutu benchmark score the performance is a bit low even compared to the Lenovo K3 Note which scores 43k in my testing. The CPU score is lower than the Snapdragon 800 which is almost 2 years old.
The GPU score is almost twice that of the Adreno 330 which is quite capable at playing games. There is also an update which popped Up as I was using the smartphone which may also improve the performance for the device a little more. Though I would have loved to see a score of above 50K from the smartphone it scored lower than 40K.
Connectivity and Call Quality
We used the smartphone with 3G and 4G network and faced no issues with the connectivity or data speed. The call clarity is also good and speaker and mic volume is decent, no issues here.
We played lots of videos on WIFI using Youtube and even tried the Netflix app on the Lenovo K4 Note, there was no connectivity or heating issue with our unit.
The lenovo K4 Note boasts of a large 3300 mAH battery capacity, the smartphone also has support for Quick Charge feature, we charged it from 35% to 60% and measured the time, K4 Note almost took 25 minutes to reach to 60%, which is good charge speed but we have seen better in some of Samsung devices.
I will add more on the battery life and how long does it last after some more testing during the weekend.

Verdict – Lenovo K4 Note Review – Is it really the Killer Note !
The Lenovo K4 Note is a significant improvement from the K3 Note and for an additional price of Rs. 2000 it is every bit value for money.
As I have stated above the design , display and the rear camera is something I really liked in the K4 Note. The lenovo Vibe UI is fast and easy to work with, icons and themes look nice with fluid performance.
All smartphones have some shortcomings so does the K4 Note has, the larger one is the under clocked Mediatek processor clocked at 1.3 Ghz while the K3 Note had the same processor clocked at 1.7 Hz, that also reflects in Antutu score.
The smartphone is bang for buck and you will definitely enjoy the positive features of the smartphone, and not to forget the killer K4 note does have killer looks to make your neighbor envious of your new prized possession.
