Lenovo K8 Note launched With Helio X23 10 Core Processor, 4GB RAM – Lenovo was teasing that a new KillerNote is coming with a focus towards performance and speed. Since lenovo already has the K6 Note which is the successor to the K5 Note and K4 Note. There were expectations of a K7 Note launch but instead lenovo has launched a K8 Note. Notably, the Lenovo K6 Note was launched on Flipkart and this time Lenovo has decided to go with Amazon India.
Lenovo also shared that they have 8.5 million active K Series users in India, owing to great success for the K3, K4, K5 and K6 Note.
Lenovo K8 Note Design & Display
The Lenovo K8 Note comes with all metal unibody design and is made up of (5000 grade) aluminium making it really sturdy. There are chrome antenna lines at the top and bottom of the device and the edges are contoured to make sure the K8 Note is easy to use and hold.
Display – The Lenovo K8 Note comes with a 5.5 Inch Display with Full HD Resolution (1920*1080), the smartphone has got Corning Gorilla Glass protection and also comes with 2.5D curved glass to improve the looks and touch experience. There is also a fingerprint scanner located at the back of the device like most Lenovo K series phones.
The smartphone is powered by a new MediaTek 6797D processor clocked at 2.3 GHz for the power cores. Actually, the MediaTek 6797D is also called as Helio X23 Deca Core Processor (10 Cores) and it comes with tri-cluster architecture with (cluster 1 with ARM-A72 clocked @ 2.3GHz, Cluster 2: ARM-A53 @ 1.85 GHz, CPU Cluster 3: ARM-A53 @ 1.4 GHz) making it more energy efficient and still having enough power to take on any game or do multitasking.
The processor is accompanied by the ARM Mali-T880 MP4 GPU which is clocked at 750 MHz and there is DDR3 Ram support for the MediaTek processor. It also comes with CAT-6 LTE modem for faster connectivity options.
The smartphone comes with two storage and Ram variants :
- Lenovo K8 Note – 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage Priced at Rs. 13,999.
- Lenovo K8 Note – 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage Priced at Rs. 12,999.
The key highlight of the Lenovo K8 Note is its Dual rear camera setup. Apart from being a killer performance device, the K8 Note is one of the first Lenovo smartphones to feature Dual rear camera setup.
The Lenovo K8 Note comes with a 13 Megapixel rear camera with Pure Cel Plus sensor. There is also a 5 Megapixel camera at the back and both the cameras work together to click the image with Bokeh effect like a DSLR.
At the front side also there is a decent selfie camera with 13 Megapixel resolution and a dedicated front flash to click better low light selfies. Overall the Lenovo K8 Note looks promising as far as the camera, OS, battery life and performance goes, the pricing is aggressive as usual and this time Lenovo has tried to include all the popular features that users want from a good mid-range device.
LG also today launched the LG Q6 on Amazon for Rs. 14,999 which is a good deal considering it is coming from Korean tech giant at an affordable price.
