As we all know what’s happening with Lenovo currently. The Chinese smartphone brand, which overtook several greats in China and also became one of the trusted brands in India is going through a rough patch.
The reason obviously is the business model. Back in the lucky days, Lenovo had its brand under which it used to release budget and mid-range smartphones. While the company has acquired ZUK to launch a smartphone with high-end specs at affordable prices. And it paid off big time.
However, once the Lenovo-Motorola deal completed last year, the brand is all over the place for not finding a proper strategy. As a result, it was rumoured recently that it’s killing the ZUK brand to release good phones under Lenovo-Moto branding to get back the success ways.
ZUK released its last smartphone, the ZUK Edge back at the start of 2016, which came with an almost zero bezels at the sides. And the company is now looking to launch a new phone.
But the news of killing the ZUK brand seems to be just a rumour because a new ZUK smartphone with moniker ZUK Z3 Max is spotted online. As seen with previous ZUK devices, the Z3 Max’s leaked screenshot suggests that it will feature high-end hardware.
The leaked screenshot of the Z3 Max’s About Phone screen says that the device will feature the unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 Soc, which is supposed to be unveiled in July with increased processor and GPU clock speed.
Along with the upcoming Snapdragon 836 SoC, the Z3 Max will feature massive 8 GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Out of 256 GB, the user will get 239 GB for usage.
Besides the standard specifications, the leak also posted an image of the ZUK Z3 Max. The phone will feature edge-to-edge display and looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S8/ S8+.
Sadly, the image did not show the bottom part of the phone, which means that we’re not sure whether the phone has a fully bezel-less display or a small chin at the bottom. Moreover, there are chances that this image might be a fake one as well.
The volume rockers and power button are placed on the right side, and the device will pack a massive screen, same as the LG G6 or Galaxy S8.
That said, there are not many details about the device’s launch at the moment, but it will be out in coming months, maybe in July or August.
