LG Q6, LG Q6+, LG Q6α Offers Stunning Full Vision Display

LG has launched a more affordable smartphone series with the “Full Vision” display similar to the LG G6. They introduced a whole new series named Q series. The release of Q6, Q6+ and Q6α have made it easier for others to enjoy the all new 18:9 ratio at a budget level price tag. The LG Q6 is the middle variant of the series while the Q6+ is the high-end model.

The only difference these variants will have; are the RAM and storage options.

  1. LG Q6α – 2 GB RAM/ 16 GB storage
  2. LG Q6   – 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB storage
  3. LG Q6+ – 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB storage

LG claims that it’ll be available first in Asian markets starting this month and then will be followed by in Europe, Latin America and North America.

It’ll be available in 2 standard colours; Astro Black and Ice Platinum across the Q6 series.

The Q6α will additionally be sold in Terra Gold option and the Q6 will a Mystic White colour option. The Q6+ will have the marine blue colour option.

All the Q6 variants will flaunt a 5.5-inch FHD with new ratio (2160×1080) IPS LCD. There’s no 2.5 D curved glass on top; instead, it sports a flat glass.

The display has curved edges similar to the G6. According to LG’s statistics; 48% people drop their phone on the edges, and hence it’s the first thing which comes in contact when dropped. These curved edges will not only look nice, but make the phone shatter resistant.

The Q6 variants will run Snapdragon 435 SOC and will be powered by a sizeable 3000 mAH battery.

All the smartphones will sport same 13 MP rear sensor and 5 MP selfie shooter with 100° wide angle feature.

All the Q6 variants will run Android Nougat v7.1.1 out of the box along with LG UX 6.0 skin on top. It’ll still get the plethora of features like facial recognition support, google assistant, steady record and square camera.

Unfortunately, these variants lack fingerprint scanner option.

The president of LG Electronic Mobile Communications Company; Mr Juno Cho shared his views by saying that, “The LG Q6 is a blend of premium features, great performance and attractive pricing, a combination that is extremely important to us as we look at the way consumers are using smartphones around the world,”
